Colton Heath WON the at Cottage Grove Speedway on Sunday night. Colton led all 41 laps for the win and collected the $4,100 payout. Congratulations Colton and Team! Colton in our Triple X chassis ran a great race in front of a packed house🏁
Not how we wanted to start our week. Took the green for group qualifying drove it hard into 1 and bam wheel shredded bounced and into the fence and upside down. Started and parked the B to at least get paid. Junked a lot with that and pretty sore. We will get it fixed up and ready for Trophy Cup on Thursday.
Well as the song says "Going back to Cali, styling, profiling Growling, and smiling, while in the sun" Dennis Roth Classic this weekend in Tulare, CA then a couple days off and back at Tulare for TROPHY CUP 2022. See you in the sun 🙅🙅WOOOOO
We’re ready to go for night 1 🏁🧡

Well we havent been doing much racing since speedweek. Been going through the car getting everything fresh and ready with no particular plans except for Chico at the end of September and Tulare Trophy cup in October. Then Kate calls at 10:30 and says hey i'm getting off work early do you want to race tonight? Ummmmm I dont know if we can i guess i should get to work and see if we even can. Well we made it just her and I. Timed in 10th quick, started 5th and finished 5th in the heat which lined us up 10th in the main. First lap car wasnt right was just trying to get going and on the second lap just misjudged turn 4 and car kept sliding and hit the wall ending our night. Nothing major, jacobs ladder and shock spud. Was good to get back out and now I will get ready for Chico.
Well as i sit here eating breakfast at TJ's in Creswell I look back at speedweek. One thing comes to mind HOT!!!! Thanks to Kate for making it the first part of the week and Cadyn and Nick for coming along this week and helping out and Jason Reed for helping on the final night of the Marvin. We finished 6th in owner points and 7th in driver points for the week. Made it out of Banks without any bent stuff and had an amazing 4 days at the Cottage Grove Speedway. Almost had a heat race win but made 1 mistake and Colton got by. Made the A main for the Marvin, which if you look at the 36 cars entered that was no easy feat. I was hoping for a better result in the A but alas confidence is a key factor, what does Colton always tell me "laps". One day i will get that W. Thank you to Heather Boyce and crew for putting on an amazing week with lots of laughs and humoring a fat old guy living his dreams....
