📣 On Monday began our last meeting, which was originally scheduled to take place in Lithuania. 🇱🇹Unfortunately, due to coronavirus ☢️😢 we were unable to attend it, so all partner countries organized it online via video hosting. 💻🎥 There were a total of 31 students and teachers together 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️ and we managed the following program:

✅ presentation of Lithuania and Kaunas - virtual guide

✅ presentation partners schools

✅ presentation Lithuanian educational system

✅ presentation of Erasmus+ programme and our project

✅ presentation of Famous Statesmen

✅ presentation National Cuisine

✅ online workshop with an expert "European Citizenship and Effective Communication"

✅ discussion hour - movie "Three Idiots"

✅ the results of the survey "European Citizenship and Effective Communication"

We were very pleased we could learn a lot of interesting things! 😍

Many thanks to all participants who participated in the video conferences with us! 👏😊

Dissemination of the 4th project. Our students who joined the 4th project meeting in Paris, France between 11-18, December, 2019 had a meeting with the other students at the neighbouring school, Özel Falez Fen Bilimleri Anadolu Lisesi in the conference hall with the school headmaster and gave information about Erasmus+, our project and also explained what they kind of competences they gained from the project.

Our project is a designed European Project to inform, encourage and support schools to tackle on ESL and also to offer the teachers a good opportunity to discuss social issues of ongoing curriculum.

Today, lack of social activities decrease the students interest in school. They get tired quickly while listening to lessons and cannot throw their energy away as they have to stay indoors. At home, students spend most of their time in front of computer and this prevents them from socializing. The virtual world and life outside school are more attractive for them. So, a great rebellion and disregard for the school, environment and humanity are observed among students.

Economic and social problems, uneducated parents and inadequate schools reduce the students’ interest and cause ESL. Students with economic problems prefer working instead of going to school because these problems are the obstacles to spend an effort on learning. We need to involve such students into the education and society again.

Our project brings innovative methods and attitudes towards ESL. It is not focused only on ESL itself but deals with different social matters which are tightly connected with ESL but often remains out of sight. Because all schools teach various subjects but there is no subject called "Being an individual". However, while school education provides knowledge, it also shapes the way the students think and models the way they respond to outer world. Therefore, our project will involve not only standard school education but also informal methods and activities as a tool.

Our project objectives are linked to these priorities we have selected with regards to the achievement because:

a. Developing competences is more possible when done face to face with other partners at the same age and similar interests.
b. Visiting different education systems is a great way of appreciating new ideas, new perspectives and realizing what we need to change in our countries, both in teaching and learning process.

The objectives we intend to achieve and produce:
-to recognize, compare, learn and share the new and different education systems, methods and techniques;
-to bring a more experience based learning approach to school education where students will be given a series of tasks to help them understand and clarify the world around them at an European level;
-a dynamic educational environment to be replaced by monotone education;
-to solve problems and overcome obstacles;
-that to make mistakes is much more honourable than to cheat in school;
-to realize the damages of ESL, lack of literacy and numeracy, and drugs;
-a reduction in the truancy, dropouts, violence and bullying;
-to encourage to take responsibility and initiative;
-to increase the competences, skills, self-confidence, multilingualism, effective communication and being open minded;
-to integrate into common human values and respect the human rights;
-an increase in respect to teaching profession;
-to compare diversity for developing mutual understanding with an overview of specific methodological issues of each country;
-to increase the capability of analyzing and evaluation;

-to break down misconceptions and intolerances of people from other cultures -to view the differences as an asset, not as a liability;
-to be aware of gender issues, racism and discrimination of all sorts;
-to be better at integrating minorities;

-to promote the partners in their own cultures and traditions, Erasmus+ and European Citizenship -awareness of national disasters and environmental protection.

All partners jointly:
- prepare, share and publish a 500 words multilingual dictionary;
- write the reports at the end of the each mobility and the final report and will be signed by all participating teachers. This report will be published on the project website;
- create “Project Garden” in each school and plant small trees;
- support and update the newsletters, DVDs, surveys, internet pages (eTwinning, facebook, websites);
- organize and share their traditional meals together with families on “National Cuisine Day” in each mobility;
- organize exhibitions.
