I’m putting on a show!!! 🤩🧸✨💕

To celebrate the release of Hindsight, my debut EP, I’m so excited to announce that I’m going to be putting on a show at Kindred Studios on Sat 24 Aug, playing a blend of new, old and reimagined songs xx

More than that tho, I’m so excited to be sharing the stage with the incredible .oakley as well as some other surprise Narrm artists x

I’m really nervous and excited to be incorporating things i’ve never done before and showing you some exclusive things we’ve been working on 🥰 This whole EP and show feels like one big hug and one big full circle moment where I’m bringing together all of you in this one cathartic experience. It honestly feels like a birthday party and that wasn’t intentional with the cover art 🫣 maybe that’s a sign 🪽

I want this night to be open to as many of you as possible because you mean so much to me, so Mikaela and I have worked to make the tickets $20 (+ a moshtix booking fee) as well as made the event open to all ages with a legal guardian for the teen besties who, I know, sometimes need events and spaces like this to process what they’re going through and feel loved.

One of the easiest and most stunning couples I've ever worked with! From filming on the day to editing together all these special moments, Francine, Sean and their families all made it so enjoyable, immersive and emotional.

When I'm creating these wedding films for couples and their families, I'm always trying to combine the heartfelt moments with comedic speeches or funny incidents. However, with these two, it was so easy and so natural for them. One of the cleanest workflows I've ever experienced and I'm so honoured to have been part of their day and to have created something for them to cherish for years to come.

My debut single, ‘Build a Bear’ is out Feb 5 bbys 🥹🧸☺️

I don’t know if you remember but the pinnacle of stuffed animals for my family as a kid were ‘build a bears’. They were the coolest teddy bears ever but they were SO exclusive. You would have to drive 2 hours to the ONE store they had near us but when you walked in ! OMG oof! There was something about the unlimited choices and the freedom to customise your own toy that was SO different to the constraints that we sometimes place on children. You would walk in and you could choose a panda or a monkey or a bear and choose a name for it and get a birth certificate, buy outfits for it to wear and change into throughout the day.

You would watch this teddy bear be stuffed and made so that it was perfect for you and that process was something that I completely forget about until a couple of months ago when I was feeling really inadequate and having some body issues.

But, when I started to imagine that I was like that build a bear and imagining that my mum and dad had put in that ‘extra stuffing’, given me a certain name, picked out my clothes and made me this way for a reason, it made me start to appreciate my body and it’s nuances

So this song is an alternative pop banger that is about being grateful, being blessed, and being seggsy 😏
