I know, I know! it’s only June!! But this holiday gnome decided to get a head start in order to be ready for craft fairs!
This is my Christmas Pudding Gnome and he carries with him a tasty candy cane!
It’s very fun to work leisurely on holiday items for the fall!
You are so “Adora-saurus”! ☺️🦕
20th book and blanket square completed! This book had a good premise and I was encouraged by much of it. The author was a little repetitive as the book progressed but I still felt like it was a beneficial read.
Moving along with my reading goal and completing the many digital books I have going at once. 😬😊
I made this top for my daughter back in March. I shipped it off to her at college at the time. She’s back for the summer now and I finally got to see how it fits. I love this pretty summer top on her, made in this fun sparkly yarn with a delicate pink trim!
Pattern: Jayda Tee by
Finally finished another book! I’ve had 5 going at once (kind of like my ongoing project bags 🙂) and am glad to have come to the conclusion of this great commentary on the book of Colossians! And I’m super excited to have another square done for my 2024 book blanket
Book and blanket square number 18 so far this year! I’m not sure how many books I’ll get read or how big the blanket will end of being but I am enjoying the process! This book was really something! I’ve never read anything quite like it! An intricate story of magic and time travel and good versus evil. Brown must have an incredible mind and imagination in order to keep his story straight and get it all down in book form for the reader to follow! I really liked this book!
Another digital book finished! It’s so pleasing to click on that last page and see 100% read on the screen! I love the feeling of finishing a book!
This was another excellent book! Real and encouraging for all women who feel pressure to keep up! I loved this book!
Baby bunny! ☺️
I love making ALL the things! Whether it’s toys or doilies or items for the home, I love making them all! This is a set of 100% cotton double thick hot pads. I like this diagonal stitch pattern. It was fun to do and has a nice finished look.
A fun little patchwork puppy!
I’m am very excited about my recently completed ! This is a lovely tee pattern by ! It calls for fi*****ng weight yarn. I used Barn Swallow as my main colorway and accented it with this lovely light blue from The Alpaca Yarn Company called Mariquita in the colorway Mint Jule. I’m thinking this will be a real nice summer top here in Texas! Nice and light and cool!
Another finished book and blanket square! This was another kindle read so I don’t have a physical copy of the book. This was a really wonderful and encouraging read! Excellent book!
I just love this puppy pattern! I was making a handful of cute mini dinos out of these fun bright colors and thought they would make a super cute patchwork type puppy. It was so fun to put the colors together and make this sweet friend, perfect for any child. 😊
And [the angel] said to them, “Do not be amazed; you are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who has been crucified. HE HAS RISEN; He is not here…” Mark 16:6
Happy Easter! Jesus is alive!
In between my sub jobs this week I’ve been working on some mini dinos. How fun are these Jurassic cuties!
My next book marked off the list and blanket square complete! This is a lovely read! If you haven’t had a chance to pick up this very popular book yet, I recommend it! Marcellus the octopus is charming and witty and the story is endearing and hopeful. It sat on my library waiting list for about 2 months before it finally became available, but I read it in a week, even while subbing in kindergarten everyday! 😜
Book and blanket square number 15 for 2024. I’m afraid to say that this wasn’t my favorite book, even with it being a Newberry Award winner. But every once in a while you still finish a book when you don’t love it. 😏
A sweet little lamb lovey, perfect Easter gift!
Subbing project! It’s always good to have a project along when I sub (or go anywhere for that matter 😊) This is the Shiloh Tee by Emily Marie Davies. I love both yarns I’m using for this project and I can’t wait to see what it looks one when it’s all done!
Yarns: Marquita in Mint Jule and Wander Luck Fiber Sock in Barn Swallow
At the request of my son, I have made him an elf wizard to represent his Dungeons and Dragons character. He came across this pattern and sent it to me and asked if I could possibly make it for him. Who am I to say no to my teenage son when he asks me to make him something !!? 🥹 In the end, it wasn’t my favorite pattern for various reasons, but I worked through the glitches and he is very happy with it. He chose all the colors and asked specifically for a hooked staff as opposed to. “Wizards” staff.
Welcoming a new little doll lovey! This sweet dancer had blonde hair this time with her bun surrounded by pretty flowers! This one is a gift and I look forward to sending it off soon to a little girl whom I hope will love it.
These scrap bunnies are quick and fun to work up. They are perfect scrap busters and turn out so cute! Great Easter Basket gifts!
A new cupcake! I’ve made pastel pink in the past. This time I thought a bright pink frosting would be fun! Cupcakes are the best!
My favorite Bunny Lovey! This time I made her in a pretty soft grey and she’s a little princess in her dress blanket of a royal garnet color.
“And I wonder if, in the dark night of the sea, there, deep within its own sphere of instinct, the octopus dreams of me.”
- N. Scott Momaday
“To love beauty is to see light.” -Victor Hugo
Sweet little ballerina kitten basking in the setting sun at the end of this day. She shares a birthday with my daughter who turns 20 today! Happy birthday ballerina! Welcome to the world. 🩵😊
Three new little friends! These mini octopi were popular at my last craft fair. They’re so fun and cute. They’re only 6” long, such a sweet, handheld size! Heading the shop today!
Last secret December Christmas gift project of 2023! My daughter is a huge Harry Potter fan, and loves Luna Lovegood’s character. This is Luna’s cropped cardigan designed by Britt Schmiesing and found in the book Harry Potter Crochet Wizardry. I haven’t had a lot of experience with crocheted buttons and wish they’d turned out a little better but I am very happy with how it fits her. A pretty quick and fun project! For movie reference - Luna wears this in “The Order of the Phoenix” when she goes to visit the Thestrals in the Forbidden Forest.
Secret December Christmas gift project part 3 - this is the One Skein Wonder Cowl completed in Yarn Bee Hand Dyed yarn in Indigo Desert. I love how this beautiful yarn works up and shows the texture of this cowl!
