I watch sad movies to have a reason to cry because I have a hard time sharing all my feelingsā¦
I know started boxing as a healthy way to deal with my anxietyā¦
I have worked on myself for years to get to a point where I find peace in my daily life, even when all ish hits the fanā¦
I remember that the things Iāve gone through that would have killed meā¦didnātā¦ they are far away memoriesā¦
So when they say āthis too shall passā I finally figured out it doesnāt mean I have to follow the same patternā¦
I donāt need to stress, immediately try to fix the problem, and then speak negatively towards myself just because this is how it goes before eventually things fall into place and what was meant to be worked out the way it was supposed toā¦
I found forgiveness in the storm, I found a new way of becoming still and saying to myself āas long as you try the best you can and have faith, everything will work outā¦
See what I realized is that I had to let go of the idea that I could somehow have control and a āfool proofā way of having a desired outcomeā¦
So I now give myself grace, and I am gentle with myselfā¦
I feel safe in the boundaries I have learned to haveā¦
I can retrieve and renew without worrying about pleasing everyone elseās feelingsā¦
If you are gentle with yourself and become secure in your boundaries you will find true relationships that will keep you strongā¦
People that are there to love you when you show up and give you space when you need itā¦
Lead with love in all you doā¦

š±I ended up with 3 shots in my arms and my feet getting checked. The doctor poked me a few times to make sure I still had feeling in my feet. My feet are fine.
I also had an eye exam. They put iodine in my eyes to dialate them to take a picture of my pupils. It didnāt create any pain at all but I got so nervous lol. Turns out my eyes are good also.
I have an app that keeps track of my blood sugar levels every time I poke my finger so I was able to show the doctor. She was super happy that my numbers were in the hundreds.
My blood work shows an a1c of over 9 and the ideal is 6. So I go back for blood work again in one month. Iām taking metformin and I keep having headaches every afternoon.
I got diagnosed with type2diabetes and Covid on the same day so weāre not sure if this is a lingering Covid symptom or itās because of the medicine.
Itās very important that I take my medication as prescribed. So I will continue.
The only thing I can do right now is eat better, watch my sugar levels and exercise every day for at least 30 minutes.
The goal is to no longer need medication. However just like we sit to rest after running; taking the medication is a form of support for my organs while I help rehab them back to health. At least enough to not rely on medication.

This has turned out to be one crazy ride for meā¦
Not just the holidays this year but life in generalā¦ I realized that changing the course of my life and moving further towards my purpose, doesnāt mean Iām giving up or leaving behind the things Iāve done. I realized that my experiences have been slowly moving me to my true purpose. The more I give up control the deeper I continue down this beautiful journey and closer to my goalsā¦

š± We put so much pressure on ourselves to do the right thingā¦ a walk means going to a parkā¦ a workout means going to a gymā¦ we walked from one side of the beach to the other, had a great talk, and found a great place to find picsā¦ We decided this is our favorite beach haha. We have gone to so many beaches!

Mental health means getting awayā¦ whether in town or out of townā¦ I donāt even mind the trafficā¦ sometimes you have to make it a point to enjoy the driveā¦ see the glass as half fullā¦ longer traffic just means I get to hear more of my playlistā¦ longer time to sing it like I wrote it!ā¦
I could have sat in my office doing my work but if Iām exhausted and burnt out I know that I wonāt put out my best.
I love what I do. Itās my passion. It doesnāt feel like work. But I know how important it is to rest your brain. Itās also so important to step back and prioritize. My family will always come first. They deserve the best of me. If I donāt take of myself and recharge my batteries, I will only be half way present, half way okā¦ I deserve to be happy and my family deserves a happy mom, wife, sister, and friendā¦

This is his last trip to the beachā¦ at the moment we are just keeping him comfortable. He has been with us for 11 years. He was a rescue so we donāt know his exact birthdayā¦ I thank him for alerting me every time my son had a heart arrhythmia. I thank him for loving my boy and bringing us joyā¦ We are hanging on to every minute we have with him. We love you Hercules š¾ ā„ļø
