To say the men of AGP have been working hard this month would be an understatement!

This past weekend, brothers from AGP helped facilitate the National Kappa League Conference in our backyard of Grand Prairie, Tx hosting hundreds of Kappa League participants, brothers from around the country, and senior level leadership within the bond.

This is one of the many ways that we as Kappa Men earn the opportunity to speak life into the young men that we are building up to be future Nupes. And to that, we say Yo!♦️👌🏽

Today, we pause to reflect on the precious freedoms we all share. We honor our brave military for their selfless sacrifices, dedicating themselves and time away from family to defend our country until the very end.

As we celebrate with loved ones, let’s never forget the ultimate price paid for the liberties we enjoy every day. While there’s more work ahead, there’s no place better than this land of opportunity!

AGP made an impact in the community last week!
Brother Andrew Jones (middle) co-chaired the National Links Convention as a Connecting Link.

Despite this being his first Links Convention, he left with numerous connections from Kappa Men who have invested 20 or more years in The Bond.

Brother Jones exemplifies AGP’s expanding reach across the Metroplex through his active participation in events like these. s/o to him for leading by example! ♦️👌🏽

As the week draws to a close, we stand united across the DFW-Metroplex! Brothers turned out in force to wrap up Kappa Kamp 2024.

Kappa Kamp concluded with an inspiring keynote address by United States Army General (Ret.) Dennis L. Via, our esteemed brother representing the San Antonio (TX) Alumni Chapter. In the photo, General Via is pictured alongside Brother Tim Jackson of AGP.

During the week of events, two AGP Kappa League participants engaged in fellowship, personal development, and brotherhood. We extend our gratitude to all the brothers who contributed in any capacity and express our thanks to those who oversaw the entire Kappa Kamp experience, from planning to completion.

On the second day of our work at Paul Quinn College for Kappa Kamp, we were joined by brothers from the Frisco Alumni Kappas. Our collaborative efforts provided meals for over 50 Kappa Kamp participants.

We extend our gratitude to Brother Maurice A West for his leadership and selfless commitment to service, which he consistently demonstrates throughout his Kappa journey, particularly in his work for Kappa Kamp.

Today we celebrate Freedom.

Brothers of AGP have been busy! Yesterday, our team won 2nd Place in the Denton-Lewisville Alumni Chapter Inaugural Guide Right Foundation Scholarship Golf Classic. s/o to the good Nupes for an amazing event.

Over the weekend, Polemarch Kevin Wilson represented AGP well with his participation in the 2024 QueSino Weekend held at AT&at Stadium.

We start our week by officially introducing the 2024-25 Leadership Team of the Arlington-Grand Prairie Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi!

We want to acknowledge the work of our good brother and member of AGP, Tim Jackson. Not only is he a well respected financial advisor and philanthropist, but in this capacity, he is the writer and director of the documentary, “Tim Jackson Presents: How to Kill A Black Man”, which was released globally in 2023 and streaming now on Amazon Prime.

In this documentary, the viewer is exposed to systemic racism and violence against black men while exploring the destructive impact of culture. This is a powerful call to action for change and unity in the fight for justice and a charge to recreate the culture.

As we continue to celebrate Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month, let us support our brother, who is in the field doing the work and putting eyes on this important issue facing the black man in America.

This month we start by celebrating our very own, Brother Ron Richards, a distinguished member of the Arlington-Grand Prairie (TX) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi.

His journey began with the Beta Chi Chapter in the Spring of 1973, and for over half a century, his dedication to our fraternity has been unwavering.

Ron Richards is a living testament to the spirit of Phi Nu Pi, truly embodying the core principles of our fraternity. His service and leadership continue to inspire us all.
