Recently, the CFLP hosted a fun evening for Pledge college students from diverse backgrounds to come together, build relationships, and enjoy an Orlando City Soccer game. This night of unity and fun was a huge success, and we are proud to have created an inclusive space where students could meet and interact with people from all walks of life in a welcoming environment. This experience has strengthened the bonds within our community and demonstrated the power of unity in diversity and mutual respect.
We are committed to organizing more fun events that bring people together and promote a culture of kindness, respect, and inclusion. We are thrilled to share some fantastic news from our recent event in Lake Mary! At the District Rotary Club International Conference, 41 Rotary Clubs came together to partner with the CFLP to take a stand for those being threatened in our community. This incredible gathering brought together district governors from various Rotary Clubs who are all committed to leadership, learning, building relationships, and enhancing the community through service.
We are deeply grateful to have been invited to this event and for the Rotary Club’s support and partnership. This collaboration marks a significant step forward in our mission to build a safe and welcoming community for everyone in Central Florida!
We’re happy to report that the Pledge is rapidly taking hold throughout Volusia County. From faith-based organizations to educational institutions such as Stetson University to local civic groups, the wide-reaching impact and importance of our mission to foster a more respectful environment is expanding. Recently, we had the profound privilege of convening with local faith leaders at First Presbyterian Church in Orlando. It was a deeply moving experience, brimming with promise and potential. Together, we embarked on a journey dedicated to nurturing and safeguarding those who may be vulnerable to threats or harassment within our community. Plans for further gatherings, encompassing diverse sectors, are currently in formation. These gatherings will serve as additional platforms for fostering collaboration and collective action in our ongoing efforts to uphold the values of inclusivity and compassion within our community.
