Brilliant game of football, both teams battled from the first whistle and both teams performed brilliantly!

Either team could have taken the win, it was that close.

Paid a visit to Ladybower reservoir today, took the 5.75 mile lost village route and enjoyed some amazing scenery.

Would love to go back and try the Derwent 10 mile trek!

Had a tour of a very colourful house called the Chatelaine. A house in Castleford enriched with history.

Week 2 of the CrossFit open at Strong101 and the madness of 24.2 is for all to see 📸

Such a brilliant evening yet again, the American theme was a huge success. The atmosphere was insane and the effort from the athletes was no less then 110% 🥇

Next week will be the final week of the open and promises to be another memorable night for us all 🫶

🏠 Yesterday I was at my second home, Strong101 for Friday night lights - our Friday evening gathering where we take part in the CrossFit Open workouts.

🟦🟩 We have 2 teams competing internationally, team blue and team green.

Took a trip to Leeds Dock, Royal Armouries yesterday to see the knife angel before it moves on. The knife angel is made from 100,000 knives seized by police and is part of the work to raise awareness of the dangers of knife crime.

Looking back, I wish I’d paid a visit to see the statue in daylight!

Got a little bit of time to play with different settings before the rain started 🌧️

📸 Something a lot different from Castleford Camera Club, we took part in an art n**e photography session with the awesome Richard Egan FineArt and model Willow Grace.

🏆 Richard is an ambassador for cancer research and all the money his art n**e photography raises goes straight to the charity.

😬 Going in to this session was nerve wracking, but the guidance from the club and the professionalism from Richard and Willow made this an exceptional experience that I thoroughly enjoyed!

Here’s a few shots from a visit to Fairburn Ings today. Tried to catch a bird mid-flight around the bird feeder but it wasn’t to be on this occasion! Missed the heron landing too, that would’ve been a great shot 🎯

I managed to get the Robin singing though, used editing software to brighten the picture up 📸

Here’s a few pictures from some sports photography practice I did at my gym Strong101 🖤 If anybody is interested in improving their fitness then this is the place to be!

Lots of lessons to learn from this, it was hard going. Deleted so many pictures, almost deleted these too but I needed something to work from so I can see progression 💪

I’ve been on 2 big walks around Haw Park Woods and Newlands this weekend, practicing depth of field 🚶‍♂️🪵🌲🌿🍂

🤓 Photography is not something I ever imagined I’d try to get in to. I have always enjoyed taking pictures but never took it seriously. I’m in the mindset now that I want to learn and enjoy taking pictures even more than I ever have.

📸 So, I thought I’d share one of the reasons that are driving me on this journey. Taking pictures of my family, scenery and sports is a big factor, but wildlife hits home a little different.
