Hi it’s wacky Wednesday or Wonderful Wednesday

⭐️ A moment of reflection, I am so proud of myself at our first Rodan + Fields convention in February!

You see I have found as I have gotten older, I am not as confident as I used to be. I feel anxious at any new experience. A few of the women in our team are younger than me and I thought I might be too old. But I met so many women over the 3 days I was there. I still got time to spend by myself which I did like and enjoyed a cocktail or three with a few new and old friends.

I got out of my comfort zone which is a great way to grow isn’t it! Lots of learning and loads of fun!

I look forward to doing it all again soon!!! ⭐️

🌟Happy Saturday🌟

Struggling with dry or oily hair? I have a quick tip that's important to know for both hair types! You should wash your hair more frequently based on how much oil your scalp produces (the more oily, the more you wash it and vise versa for dry hair). No matter your hair type, concentrate shampoo mainly on your scalp and conditioner mainly on the tips... Plus, myth busted, you should also condition every time you shampoo!

My scalp is more dry than oily so I wash it every 3 days, sometimes 4. This pic of me is Day 3.

I love our Smooth Regimen because my scalp was itchy too and smooth is so nourishing. I have since realised the premium shampoo and conditioner I was using wasn't helping my scalp. Now I take my Smooth Regimen to the hairdressers, otherwise after my cut or colour I am back to an itchy scalp!

Another tip, I combine Smooth with our Volume shampoo just to give my hair a little volume but not too much!!

🚙 I missed posting the last couple of days of our amazing holiday in Tassie. Thursday was a big day driving from Hobart to Devonport and meeting Lyn was definitely a highlight and a goal of mine to meet her. She has been an inspiration for me in the last couple of years with R+F. So I was so happy to spend time with her. The night went so fast for us and we had to get up so early on Friday morning for our sailing on Spirit of Tasmania.

We grabbed some Maccas at 6:30 am and off we went to check in. Again the sailing was quite calm and Marc was okay wearing the patch.

Friday night we had a quick Thai meal. So we started in Geelong with Thai and finished with Thai. Then it was off for an early night.

We got up at 4am and set off a very short time later for our drive home. We decided to see if we could make it all the way home in one day as Marc is back to work tomorrow and he wanted to relax today. We also wanted to leave early because it was forcasted for a hot day.

Anyway it wasn't as hot as predicted and we were home late afternoon.

We had a fabulous holiday in Tassie and we can both highly recommend to go there if you haven't already been. We want to go again and see parts we didn't get to like Cradle Mountain, Wineglass Bay and the west coast.

One thing we found was not every accommodation has comfortable beds and I have already booked in to my Chiropractor tomorrow. My neck is sore 🥺

We really missed Tam and the dogs so much and are happy to be home 🚙

🌟 Day 12 - On the Road again travelling from Hobart back to Devonport!

The trip was fairly uneventful ✅

We drove up to the Lighthouse at Mersey Bluff. Got some great photos from there and Coles Beach.

We then went for dinner at The Elimatta Hotel. I had scallops again. I am making sure I am eating as many Tasmanian Scallops as I can 😋 We got some great pics of the Spirit leaving tonight sailing right past the pub window!

After we had drinks with another R+F consultant I have connected with called Lyn. I have met her through messenger groups and zoom but not in person. We had such a wonderful night and it felt like I had known her for years. I love that I have met some amazing friends through this business.

Tomorrow we are on the Spirit of Tasmania again. This has definitely been a holiday to remember 🌟

🚌 Day 11 - Another day spent on the hop on hop off bus. We chose the Tasmanian Botanical Gardens. It was another stunning day and beautiful in the gardens. We visited the New Zealand natives, Australian and Japanese gardens.

Then it was off to The Cascade Brewery Bar for our daily🍺 and back to our accommodation.

Tonight is our last night in Hobart so we decided to splash out for dinner at The Drunken Admiral which is a very popular restaurant on the wharfs. The food was so good. I had Sultan's Scallop and Prawn Wok which was with market fresh seasonal vegetables in a cashew nut satay sauce with steamed rice. Yummy. Marc had a Tasmanian Beef Eye Fillet chargrilled with a red wine jus. It was huge. We finished off with a walk on the wharfs to get an ice-cream 🍨

🚌 Day 10 - Today was a day spent on the Big Red Double Decker bus. The Hop on hop off bus around the sites of Hobart. We actually hopped on just outside where we are staying in Sandy Bay, went around the whole trip working out where we wanted to go. We had lunch in one of the seafood boats. I had scallops which were so good and Marc had calamari. Then it was back on the bus and we stopped off again to check out the shopping in Hobart city and then back on to go back to where we are staying.

Tonight we checked out another bar close to us and had a pub meal. The burgers were so good and I had sweet potato fries 😋 the bar was really great with many locals and tourists. Very popular for a Tuesday night with live music too. Today I didn't have a beer but enjoyed a rum or two 🥃

Tomorrow we will be back on the bus as we bought 48 hour tickets!! 🚌

🎨 Day 9 - We woke up to another stunning day in Hobart. This morning we drove up Mount Wellington, well almost all the way up. We stopped off to take in the view and the car was smelling a bit. We were worried about the car overheating so we decided to not go any further. We still got some great pics.

Then it was time for a visit to Smitten Merino, shopping for me. I have bought online and wanted to try on some other clothes. Let's just say it was a success 😁

This afternoon we went to MONA The Museum of Old and New Art. It was very interesting and well worth a visit if you are ever in Hobart. Some of the exhibitions were quite raunchy and controversial but hey I guess that's Art!! 🎨

🌞 Day 8 - I have to say we have been so fortunate with the weather! It was 27 degrees today and gorgeous clear blue skies.

We drove to Port Arthur and booked a cruise which took 20 mins with a really good commentary. I got some great pics of Dead Island. Can you believe that kids as young as 9 were sent out from London in the 1800's to stop them going to prison in London. They could be trialled from the age of 7 😮

We walked around the Historical site of Port Arthur seeing the Penitentiary where the convicts were imprisoned. Again there was so much walking, so I cheated and went back to the cafe while Marc walked around the whole site. My blisters were not playing fair!!!

On the way back we stopped off at Eaglehawk Neck Beach. Wow spectacular views!! We also stopped off at a Lavender Farm. I can imagine how amazing it would look when it's a sea of purple.

We finished with a drink at the local a few steps from where we are staying! What an awesome day!! 🌞

🏖 As you have probably seen from my posts, we are having a fabulous fun-filled holiday. My R+F business is still open. I am still working it in pockets of time! I am always available to answer any questions. Orders are still going in and as you have seen, I can be away but still be able to work my business.

🌞 Day 7 - Saturday, what does everyone do when they visit Hobart? Go to the Salamanca Markets of course!

We are staying within walking distance, very handy. I found out my legs are still sore from Thursday's walk to Cataract Gorge and back. Not to mention my blisters on my toes. The markets are very popular with so many stalls of many different items and lots of food too.

We decided to have brunch in Salamanca Place and then checked out the shops as well. Many Jewellery and crafts with loads of bars and restaurants. So what did we do next, have a 🍺 again. It seems to be a daily occurance 😛

Then we wandered back to our accommodation and decided to have a quiet afternoon and rest. We also had to catch up on mundane tasks like do the washing!! We finished up having takeaway 🍕

Tomorrow we will be back out exploring again!🌞

🌼 Day 6 - We drove to Hobart today. Throughout our driving we have commented how it doesn't feel like we are in Australia! The countryside is stunning with so many hills and mountains, but the main difference is how green it is!

We arrived at our accommodation in Sandy Bay which will be home now for the next 6 days. We went for a walk checking out the neigbourhood and stopped for a 🍺 We decided to take a drive to where the yachts from the Sydney to Hobart race come in. Went for a walk and found a bar to rest for a short time. My legs are rather sore today after our massive walk yesterday.

Ended up with Japanese Ramen tonight. There is quite a few restaurants and cafes within walking distance so we will have plenty of time to try them out.

Today was rather a quieter day but lookout tomorrow 🌼

😚 Day 5 - Cataract Gorge!! What can I say but beautiful!

I think we really didn't know how much walking was involved. Let's just say I realised how unfit I am. It was okay walking the 20 mins there and completing the walk. But instead of going back the same way, we walked out of the gorge to a carpark and street. We walked back that way. Up massive hills which I thought was hard, but then going down hill was even harder. My toes were hitting the ends of my shoes (not my comfortable runners). I ended up with blisters. Ouch!!! We ended up at the end of the day with just under 20,000 steps, 53 floors and 14 kms.

Anyway enough whinging. Marc will say I did enough of that at the time 😂We saw some seals sunbaking, and lots of Raj peacocks strutting around. It really was stunning.

Once we had a rest, I cooled down, put Marc's shorts on, changed my shoes and we walked around town and ended up with yummy Vietnamese food for lunch.

Another rest and went for a drive and back before dusk and out for Malaysian for dinner. Also yummy.

We are now relaxing ready for our drive tomorrow to Hobart!! 😚

😃 Day 4 - on the road again. I must say I am rather slack at taking photos! I kept forgetting 😂

We decided to stop at different places along the way from Devonport to Launceston which was along the Tasting Trail! First stop was Ashgrove Dairy Door where we bought a mini tasting plate which consisted of 6 cheeses. One of the photos I didn't take 😆 we did buy some of the cheeses to have later. We then stopped at Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm where I had mine and Marc's dark chocolate dipped raspberries. Yum yum! Then across the road was Van Diemens Land Creamery where of course I had to have a chocolate gelato! Next stop was Wandering Trout - Mole Creek Brewery where we had a 🍺 each. I can't remember the two different ones we had. Then it was on to Launceston, where we are staying for the next two nights.

We checked in and dropped off our luggage and then went for a walk around town. Called in to a wine bar and had dinner at the Pickled Evening Indian restaurant. We ordered a vindaloo curry which was really good but a little 🔥 for me.

Now to rest ready for more exploring tomorrow 😃

🎉 Day 3 - We are now in Tasmania! We boarded The Spirit of Tasmania this morning which was quite an experience. I was surprised how many cars and caravans can be loaded onboard.

I must admit, it was rather a long day and probably should have asked you some questions to see if you had travelled on the ship before and which sailing you did! I think if we did it again another holiday, we would probably book the night sailing!

At least one really really good thing was Marc didn’t get seasick! If you know him, you know he doesn’t have sea legs at all! I got some patches from NZ for him, that my sister swears by, and they worked! Thanks Kerie! Although it wasn’t a rough crossing so that helped.

We are both tired after our day at sea and tomorrow is another day of site seeing so goodnight from us!!

🌟 Day 2 - On the road again and we hit some bad weather! I took a video and posted on my story but couldn’t post here! So another hiccup in the car although not another ticket 🙃 just lots of rain 🌧 and our wipers weren’t working too well so we stopped on the side of the road for a short while.

We arrived in Geelong to a gorgeous hot day. Our accommodation is excellent, very quaint and cute! We had a wander along the waterfront and stopped for a beer and fries at a bar called Edge. Spoke to a waiter who told us of a great area called Little Malop Street to go for dinner, but being a Monday and public holiday everything was closed. We did find a Thai restaurant to eat at that was really nice and back to our accommodation for a couple of drinks!

Tomorrow is sailing day!!! 🌟

🌺 Time for some quality time with my partner Marc!!!

Day 1 of our holiday - first stopover in Albury overnight.

We were given a curveball on the way, travelling at 110 on cruise control. So many cars passing us! We were commenting how fast they must have been going and in a hurry to get somewhere. Then we decided to pass someone and then I spotted flashing lights behind us! What the!!! Talk about unlucky! We won’t let it ruin our holiday though 🌺
