That is a line from the 1988 movie They Live. They Live is a thought-provoking commentary on the ways in which society can be manipulated and controlled.

We must be willing to take off the glasses of deception and see the world as it really is. We must be willing to speak out against injustice and to stand up for what is right, even if it means going against the popular opinion. Let us all strive to be "unplugged" from the lies and deceptions of the world, and to live a life that is grounded in truth and love and not drive in the middle of the road.

Today, make the choice to be the light in someone's life. As a follower of Jesus our light should not be hidden. People should also see us pointing up to Christ, with our words and actions. The light prevails while the darkness fails!

Last weekend we went to Monster Jam in St Louis! We had a great time. As always it got me thinking about how we as followers of Jesus can get more rev'ed up and excited about our faith? If you have ever been to any sporting event, you will see the crowd get excited and wild.
