At the conclusion of the Forge Trainees will take part in the Soldier Ceremony where they're able to done their black berets for the first time. This ceremony takes place after they have fully completed all of their graduation requirements of Basic Training and will soon graduate as U.S. Army Soldiers.

"The First 100 Yards" is a Trainees first exposure to their Basic Combat Training, , Drill Sergeants and their first opportunity to begin building cohesive teams in high stress situations.
“The First 100 Yards,” a homage to their lineage of closing the last 100 yards of the fight, incorporates teamwork into a competition that features mental and physical challenges on the day they arrive to their basic training company.

The Army Reserve began on April 23, 1908 as a small corps of reserve medical professionals. It is now a force of more than 200,000 Soldiers and Civilians in all 50 states and 5 territories!
