If you're feeling bloated from yesterday, try incorporating these tips from FIT CLUB into your life this week:

1. Start the day with a glass of water and a slice of lemon
2. Drink a veggie juice smoothie
3. Drink an organic green tea
4. Eat more raw fruits, herbs, and veggies
5. Minimize or eliminate white sugar intake
6. Minimize or eliminate white flour and white breads
7. Take a probiotic supplement
8. Eat legumes and less meat, fish and poultry
9. Do breathing exercises and listen to a motivating/uplifting podcast

4th of July week is almost here!!!!

If you want to eliminate your bbq intake with some exercise, here are 10 outdoor activities you can do in or around Boston this weekend:

1. Walk Castle Island in South Boston
2. Use Hubway or Blue Bikes that are located all over the city and suburbs
3. Walk around the Boston Public Garden
4. Wander around the Arnold Arboretum in Jamaica Plain
5. Take a hike at Blue Hills Reservation in Canton
6. Rent a canoe or kayak on the charles (great ab/arm workout)
7. Play a game of tennis or basketball at any local park
8. Take a swim at any of the beaches north or south of the city
9. Go paddle boarding on a lake near you (look up classes)
10. Go dancing!!!

Who has the SUNDAY SCARRIES?

Here are a few tips to reduce your anxiety before the week gets started:

1. Try a short MEDITATION:
Studies show just 10-15 min of focusing on your breath will reduce anxiety. Follow a guided one or one with just music from YouTube.

2. SHUT DOWN your screens:
Being constantly stimulated keeps your brain awake, so to calm the nerves shut down your screens 30 minutes before you go to sleep.

3. Practice GRATITUDE:
Think about all the fun things you did over the weekend and be grateful for your family/friends you got to spend time with.

4. Take a BATH:
Being in a hot bath before bed has been proven to relax the nervous system.

5. Do 10-20 min of YOGA/STRETCHING:
Your body may be restless thinking about all the things you have to do that upcoming week, so take the time to stretch your muscles and focus on your breathing. Free yoga videos can be found on YouTube.
