Why Earthy Girl Soap?

Earthy Girl Soaps fully supports getting dirty. The good kind of dirty; the dirt under your fingernails and in-between your toes, sweaty-hair-don’t-care kind of dirty. I believe that having our hands and feet in the Earth is good for all that ails us.

And the best part is how much fun it is to get dirty! Whether you like to go for a run or hike, plant or harvest a garden, camp, bike, kayak, swim, dance, build, paint, play or work, I hope you enjoy the joy of getting dirty.

Earthy Girl Soaps began with a quest to decrease my impact on the environment, nurture my health (inside and outside) and consume locally produced products. Living in an arid area of the Okanagan Valley meant every shower was followed by an application of lotion, especially in the winter. When my grandson showed signs of skin sensitivity and eczema, I knew there had to be better options. I learned how to make my own soap and began experimenting with ingredients and recipes. Soon I was giving away my abundance of ‘testers’ and friends and family began asking for more.

Every batch of soap is a unique artisan creation! From the science of ingredients-formation to the artistic design of colours and scents, every batch is made with love, joy, and occasionally a few dirty girl cuss words!
