After almost a decade of temporary broadcasts in the area, North Manchester finally got its own radio station in 2009. All of our presenters are volunteers who are trained at North Manchester FM, providing a platform and a voice for the local community.

Open Days this coming Saturday 7th September and Sunday 8th September as part of the National ‘Heritage Open Days’ scheme. Open at 12 midday, last entry 3.45pm, everyone out by 4pm. Free to enter (donations gratefully received), no booking required. Not a guided tour, but you are free to wander around the open rooms where there are information banners and volunteers from 'The Friends' to hopefully answer any questions. Great fun at the first Harpurhey Day with Harpurhey Neighbourhood Project - The Centre. Tune in at 3pm to hear a chat with Danielle from SICK Festival about their new Mind Games Project. There's still an hour of fun and games to go. If you can't get down this afternoon, Harpurhey Tenants Union have their meeting at the centre tomorrow at 11:30am. We've also booked Richard from Debt Justice in for a chat ahead of their consultation on the 11th. Busy Bees!

Guided by our Creative Learning team—Grace, Rebecca, and Cameron—you’ll design, workshop, and perform an original musical based on a theme chosen by the group. Expect masterclasses in improvisation, quick song writing, and drama activities over two action-packed days.
