Missy Elliott - watercolour on paper.
My first Missy paintings- I do want to do another painting based on a more recent photo but I always remember her like this and in army fatigues so I thought it was a good image to start with! I will have prints in the next few weeks. I hope you like her ☺️
The last of my small bird paintings for the Yellow Springs Art show- the “Eurasian Jay” and “A Memory of Winter” - the little Robin. Also my Rooster, Woodpecker and Wren. I will have prints available in my Etsy store in a couple of weeks. One of these (I’m not sure which!) has already sold, but the others are now available at the wonderful Historic Yellow Springs Art Show!
I hope you like them! Which is your favourite?
“Fairy Wren” another of my little birds that can be seen at the Historic Yellow Springs art show in PA - now open! 11x14 inches framed. If you’re in Pennsylvania do stop by, there is so much beautiful art to see there, I wish I was able to go!
One of my little birds that’s flown all the way to the Historic Yellow Springs art show. My first time painting a woodpecker, hopefully someone there will like him! Watercolour on paper, available at the Historic Yellow Springs art show, Pennsylvania 🩶❤️🖤🤍
“An English Rose” - my first painting of a rose and it’s going to be shown at the Historic Yellow Springs Art show this year. I liked this rose as it had lovely pink petals on the inside but the underside of them was white. The painting is 15 x 20 on bockingford watercolor paper.
I have also painted several small birds which I will be posting soon, I’m happy to say one has already been sold before the show has begun! One of the lovely people working at the show saw one of my small birds and wanted it so it’s already set for a new home! Woohoo!
If you’re near Yellow Springs in Pennsylvania it’s well worth a visit. So much stunning art work but so many talented people, I wish we were able to be there!
I hope you like the Rose 🌹
Sinéad O’Connor - I painted her last year but without a scanner had no chance to upload her. Watercolour on paper. I’m debating doing a version with a coloured background as I’m not sure if she looks too minimal? I hope I’ve done her justice and hope you like her! 💚💙
Madonna “Into the Groove”. My first post in a long time! I hope everyone is enjoying 2024 so far. I’ve been busy painting when I can, I currently don’t have a scanner which makes uploading my work a bit of a challenge! I didn’t get a chance to do a calendar for this year but I’m finishing some pieces for next years 80s calendar as well as more paintings. I have a few more birds and flowers coming ready for the historic yellow springs are show in April- as long as I am happy with the end result!
My art work is still coming out a bit slowly due to family illness but I hope you’ll like the pieces I eventually come up with. Thanks as always for the support 🩷
A simple little Robin. A slightly different original painting of the same bird is available at in Bury st Edmunds. So stop by for a look as my solo show is only on a short time longer. Happy holidays everyone 🧡
A little reminder that I have my solo show going on at the in Bury St Edmunds. This paintings should be joining the others by the weekend! The show has a collection of my animals, flowers and pop art paintings & prints. I hope you can make it for a look around!
Taylor Swift “reputation”. She will be added to my Etsy shop and the original will be on show at the in Bury St Edmunds from this weekend! I have my second solo show there- if you live nearby I would love for you to check it out in person! There is a selection of my pop art paintings, wildlife and flowers. I hope you can make it!
Sadly I do not think I will be doing a calendar for next year due to family issues and illness. I had 3 calendars in the works - an 80s themed one, pop icons 2 and a Madonna celebration calendar. I will share some of the artwork in the coming weeks. I will have at least 1 (probably 2) calendars next year though!
Who’s seeing in London tonight?! It’s the opening night of her and we will be there! Say hi if you’ll be there too! Here’s a look back at some of my paintings - all watercolour on paper. Some of which will be featured in my Madonna in Art 40th Anniversary calendar. This is going to be a small print limited edition if people are interested in it. Let me know your favourite Madonna look - and don’t forget to say hi if you’ll be there tonight (or tomorrow!) I may have a print or 2 on me to give away 😉
Bjork. “Homogenic” I always loved this very sci-fi looking cover to Bork’s album Homogemic so I had long planned to paint it. I always thought she looks like a space age geisha. It was designed by Alexander McQueen whose work I adore. I hope you like the painting- do be sure to check out the album artwork if you’re not familiar with it. Prints and the original are both available.
My painting of - she’s certainly an 80s icon, so if I do an 80s themed calendar for next year I shall have to include her. Watercolour on bockingford paper. Which other 80s icons should I include? Do let me know! 🧡💙❤️
David Bowie from the movie - one of my favourite 80s movies! I am trying to decide on next years calendar- it’s between a 1980s theme or Music icons. I had originally planned to do the 80s including people like Gloria Estefan, Bananarama, Cyndi Lauder, Star Wars, Jennifer Grey (as Baby from Dirty Dancing) Keifer Sutherland (from the lost boys) Boy George…but I don’t think I can do an 80s theme without including Prince, Michael Jackson, Madonna and Whitney, all who have been in previous calendars (not this years but in the last couple of years) I would of course have new paintings of each not repeated artwork…
The other option is music icons with stars such as Jennifer Lopez, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Donna Summer, Bob Marley, John Lennon, Harry Styles, Bjork, Missy Elliot.
Which would you prefer? Please let me know!
Happy birthday Madonna! Thank you for being such a huge inspiration ❤️ I still hope to create a Madonna calendar for next year so more Madonna paintings coming up. I hope the Queen has the best birthday and am very excited to be seeing her at the opening night of in October!
🍾❤️🎂🎉
Miley Cyrus. I painted this over a year ago - from her look in the video for “midnight sky” but I hadn’t finished her. I really do love the colours in this painting, I may have to reuse this palette! Prints available in my Etsy store. ☺️
“Ursula” Melissa McCarthy as Ursula the Sea Witch from the little mermaid. I have always loved a villain- now I’ve painted my favorite 3 - Maleficent, Cruella and Ursula. Who should be the 4th?
She’s painted in watercolor on Bockingford paper. Original 11x15 inches. Prints available on my Etsy shop (or drop me a message!)
I hope you like her 💜🖤💜
Gillian Anderson as Dana Scully. I loved x-files (I still do) and I can’t think of many on screen partners to rival Mulder and Scully. I love Gillian in every role I’ve ever seen her in- she’s just amazing 🧡 I do plan to paint Fox at some point. Original and prints available via my Etsy store. Hope you like her!

“Rupaul -Pride” happy pride month! I’m a bit late but I only just finished this! I’ve wanted to paint Ru for a while and what better time than for Pride?! She’s made up of all the colours of the pride flag. It does make me so happy that our very small English village has pride flags all over the town. When I met my husband, 20 years ago, I would never have thought that things would have come so far - yes there’s still a long way to go, but I am still happy for the progress that has been made. Happy pride! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🖤🤎💗💙🤍
Prints and the original available on Etsy
Tom Cruise. Top Gun. 11x15 watercolor on paper. I thought this was the best painting to post on Memorial Day- a day that honors and mourns members of the US armed forces who died serving the country. This painting is based on from the original as I’m working on several 80s themed icons. I hope you like it! Happy Memorial Day ❤️
Rest in peace Tina 💔
May the 4th be with you! Happy Star Wars day! A new painting - Han Solo will be next ☺️
I’m happy to hear that my Little Wren painting has sold at the Historic Yellow Springs art show in PA! Even happier to hear he’s going home with one of my lovely friends there ❤️ to celebrate, here’s a few of my bird paintings. More to come soon - I hope you like them ☺️
“Suffolk Pheasant” 15x20 inches. A very colourful Pheasant I painted for the Historic Yellow Springs art show in PA USA. If you are anywhere close then do check the show out- so much amazing and beautiful art, I wish I was going! I hope you like my little pheasant ☺️
“Franchette” my new purple bearded iris painting. I struggled with this one, almost abandoning it more than once. Luke Blong encouraged me to finish it and now she’s complete and on her way to the Yellow Springs art show in PA! She’s a large painting 22x30 inches and will be on show next month and available to purchase there. If you’re in PA do try to make the show, there are so many talented artists showing there and more art than you’ll know what to do with!
Prints of “Franchette” will be available from my Etsy site from next week.
I hope you like her.
Beyoncé - Renaissance. Watercolour 11x15 inches. My newest Beyoncé painting- she did some really interesting photo shoots around the time her new album came out and I thought this photo with a huuuuge hat had to be painted! Prints in my Etsy store (or e mail/DM me) and the original is also available. Hope you like! 💙
Madonna “Like A Prayer -Video Version” my most recent painting - the look from the music video to - I have painted Madonna so many times that I have enough paintings for a Madonna calendar! On my list of Madonna looks to paint I still have Hung Up, Fever, Open Your Heart, Bedtime Story, Music and la isla Bonita. Any iconic looks you think I’ve missed?
Prints and original are available ☺️
Still recovering from my birthday celebrations, so I’m currently curled up on the couch watching one of my favourite movies Aliens. I painted Sigourney/Ellen Ripley for the actresses calendar but I didn’t finish her in time. I’m not sure that green is everyone’s cup of tea for a portrait, but it felt fitting for her character in Alien. Next year I’m considering an 80s themed calendar so she would fit in there pretty well! I have prints of her ready until then! I also still have 10
Copies of the 2023 Actresses in Watercolour calendar - if you haven’t got one but would like one, mows the time! Let me know ASAP!

I painted Halle berry for the Screen Icons calendar but I wasn’t sure that she came out well enough so she didn’t make it in this year. I will be painting her again though. I still have some copies of the 2023 Screen icons calendar left, if you would like one, please let me know! Includes 14 paintings including Julia Roberts, Elizabeth Taylor, Marilyn Monroe, Viola Davis, Olivia Newton-John, Betty White and Whoopi Goldberg to name a few! Though she’s not in the calendar, prints of Halle are available 🎉
