2 Huge Space Events happening today!!!!
First up: SpaceIL is landing the Israeli flown spacecraft on the Moon. Landing procedures will start at 2:05pm CDT (22:05 UTC).
Second: space X is now targeting a 5:35pm CDT launch window for the second launch of Falcon heavy, the most powerful rocket currently flying (eclipsed only by the Saturn V and N-1 Moon rockets from the 60's).
You can tune in on YouTube (both events are being shown on live-streams) and of course each respective organization will be live-streaming it on their own websites

Space for Humanity, the non-profit organization which aims to democratize access to space, and whose commitment is to help 10,000 global citizens experience the Overview Effect, has announced that applications to become citizen astronaut will be closed on March 31, 2019, re-opening to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the moon landing on July 20, 2019. The second and final round of applications for first crew selection will close in Fall 2019. If you - or someone you know - would like to apply to S4H, get your applications in now!
The crews selected for missions will be both diverse and uniquely qualified to share their experiences with their broader communities and the world. Space for Humanity believes that through group experience and a diverse selection process, this can help many more people understand the positive value of space exploration and why we must look after Spaceship Earth.
