Super Premium Tequila 100% Blue Agave that originates in Jalisco, Mexico
“Somehow our devils are never quite what we expect when we meet them face to face.” Nelson DeMille
Brought to the UK by acclaimed restaurateur and entrepreneur Tom Conran, Chamucos combines the finest taste with a mischievous sense of fun, which looks set to make it the cult tequila of choice. Distilled using only 100% weber blue Agave, Chamucos offers an unrivalled elegance of flavour and has be
en created through the marriage of both ancient and state-of the art techniques. It is made in the alpine forests of Mazamitla in Jalisco with the purest water drawn directly from the mountain rock, and only choice Piñas from both the highland regions and the Tequila Valley being used in the process. Classical music is played during the double distillation process, which is undertaken by women only, due to their natural lightness of touch. Despite its heavenly taste and aroma, Chamucos means ‘little devil’ in Mexican and it most definitely has a dark side. Every bottle is made from hand blown glass and its distinctive packaging draws upon the folkloric and mythological legends of pre-Hispanic Mexico. The Oscar-nominated Mexican film director Antonio Urrutia, famed for his arthouse pornographic thrillers, such as, I Murder Seriously and Of Guts and Heart, originally conceived Chamucos, with his artist friend creating the edgy label in honour of a renowned satirical caricaturist, José Guadalupe Posada (1852-1913).
