Britain's Prince William has taken veiled swipe at the billionaires embroiled in a space tourism race; saying the world's greatest brains should instead be focused on solving the environmental problems facing the Earth.
During a BBC interview aired on Thursday, William appeared to criticise Jeff Bezos, the world's richest person, Elon Musk and Briton Richard Branson, whose rival ventures are all vying to usher in a new era of private commercial space travel.
"We need some of the world's greatest brains and minds fixed on trying to repair this planet, not trying to find the next place to go and live," William said of the space race.
His comments come after Musk has spoken about missions to Mars, and Bezos described his inaugural space flight in July as part of building a road to space "so that our kids and their kids can build a future".

A photographer took social media to share the horrendous experience at a wedding that ended up deleting all the photos.
Backstory:
‘I am not really a photographer, I am a dog groomer. I take lots of photos of dogs all day to put on my Facebook and Instagram, it’s “my thing” if that makes sense. I told him (a friend) that it is not really my forte but he convinced me by saying that he didn’t care if they were perfect.’
What happened:
‘Around 5pm, food is being served and I was told I cannot stop to eat because I need to be a photographer. I’m getting tired at this point kinda regretting doing this for next to nothing. It’s also unbelievably hot.
I told the groom I need to take off 20 min to get something to eat and drink.’
What next:
‘He (the groom friend) tells me I need to either be photographer, or leave without pay. With the heat, being hungry, being generally annoyed at the circumstances, I asked if he was sure, and he said yes. So I deleted all the photos I took in front of him and took off saying I am not his photographer anymore.’

The nine-part thriller, written and directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk, revolves around a group of people taking part in a series of deadly games to win 45.6 billion ($38.6 million) in prize money.
Just a few days after its official release on Sept 17, it entered the top 10 on the world's popular Netflix TV show rankings offered by streaming analytics firm FlixPatrol. It has remained on the top of the chart for about 10 days. Also, it became the first South Korean show to hit No 1 on Netflix's top 10 TV show list in the United States.
"Squid Game will definitely be our biggest non-English language show in the world, for sure," Ted Sarandos, co-CEO of Netflix, during Code 2021, an annual technology conference hosted in Beverly Hills, California, by American media company Vox Media.
"It's only been out for nine days, and it's a very good chance it's going to be our biggest show ever. It's enormously popular," he added. He noted that Squid Game is blowing past all of Netflix's previous non-English language hits, including the Spanish crime thriller Money Heist (La Casa de Papel) and the French mystery series Lupin.

Back Story: When an exhibition about the future of labor opened at a Danish art museum on Friday, visitors should have seen two large picture frames filled with banknotes worth a combined $84,000.
The pieces were meant to be reproductions of two works by artist Jens Haaning, who previously used framed cash to represent the average annual salaries of an Austrian and a Dane -- in euros and Danish krone respectively.
But when the Kunsten Museum of Modern Art in Aalborg took delivery of the recreated artworks ahead of the show, gallery staff made a surprising discovery: the frames were empty. Rather than being the handiwork of thieves, the loaned cash was missing thanks to Haaning himself, who says he is keeping the money -- in the name of art.

An IBA student, named Muhammad Gibrail, observed a scene in the finance department on 25th of August, 2021, where the manager of finance department was screaming at that woman and saying, 'Mein tumhe puri raat betha kar rakhoon ga [I will make you sit here all night]'. He shouted at her in an extremely humiliating manner and even out of context, this statement alone is enough to constitute sexual harassment as it is sexually demeaning conduct," the statement read.
“What I saw was extremely offensive and humiliating. I was shocked that a man could behave like that with a woman in a professional setting, that too in front of other people. Later I went up to the lady and told her that she should not tolerate this and must inform the administration,” says Mohammad Gibrail, a student at the IBA.
The same day, Gibrail shared the entire episode in a Facebook post. Backed by the strength and support offered by students, the woman filed a harassment complaint with the varsity. Meanwhile, a disciplinary committee has been set up at the IBA over Gibrail's Facebook— which lasted for 14 minutes — in which, he says, he was asked to take down the Facebook post and issue a public apology for defaming the institution and an individual, or face expulsion. Gibrail has refused to apologise. He believes his speech is protected by the Constitution and is exempt from defamation because it was done for the public good and was factual.
