My breast cancer journey

There is really no preparing yourself for your hair to fall out. You just have to roll with it!

Had 2nd round of chemo yesterday. So far so good other than dizziness and fatigue. Waiting for the nausea to set in 😅 I've lost 8lbs from since starting chemo and they want me to talk to a dietician. 🤣 best diet ever!!! Just kidding!! I've actually lost more but that was way before starting chemo, I changed up my eating habits in December.

Had the genetics testing done about a month ago to look out for my girls and got the results back and everything was negative. So there's some good news!!!!!

Thank yall so much for all the prayers, healing thoughts and positive vibes!!! Keep em coming!!!

Day 1 chemo treatment is in the books. Since I am getting dose dense ac, I am expected to have most of the side effects over the next couple of days. Yay me!! But as of now, I feel good but really tired. 💪🩷

My neulasta injection pod thingy. It was put on a few minutes before I left the center. I was told it would feel like a rubber band pop when the little catheter was inserted. This is true! I just couldn't rub it out!!! I was told by my chemo educator plus other people to start taking claritin, to help ward off any headaches or bone and/or joint pain.

I decided to let my girls shave my head. They surprised me with an overnight visit with my sister and niece.

I have not regretted cutting or shaving my hair.

I got my PET scan results back yesterday, for now I am still considered a stage 3 but there is a spot on my spine on my lower back that they are going to keep an eye on and check into.

As for chemo, I will be having chemo every week starting April 1st for at least 8 weeks.

Please keep the prayers, healing, thoughts and vibes coming. They are greatly appreciated!!!!

Radiology came by and took the dermabond glue off my incisions for the port and surprise surprise, I stopped itching. Ended up being a severe allergic reaction to the dermabond glue and not an infection of the port.

MARCH 13, 2024

Ended up going to the ER in Beaumont and was admitted with possible infection to the port. Was given vancomycin and my face and arms started turning red. They d/c'd the vanco just incase I was allergic to that and started me on 2 other antibiotics and some steroids.
