Yesterdays Apple almond tart was delish and today we decided to try something else. Nothing goes better with almond filling or frangipane than pears so we poached pear then added the frangipane to this sweet pastry crust and topped with the poached pear and almond slivers. It definitely didn’t disappoint.

Adding one of my all time favorite appetizers salt fish cake. These yummy treats are made from salted cod fish and potatoes and although Guyanese in my mind, was likely derived from Portuguese roots in Guyana. It’s served with some yummy mango sour and is delish. 4 for $10.

A labour of love. Chicken curry and roti.

My curry and roti is enough to feed 2. They’re flaky and soft and reheat well. Chicken curry is mild and add some red peppers and potatoes it’s a full meal. Ask about vegetarian options for kosher observers. Chicken roti $19.95 and vegetarian options $17.95.

These homemade bourekas will definitely whet the appetite. Made from homemade puff pastry as well as homemade ricotta cheese it’s a delicious savoury treat. 6 for $25 and 12 for $40.

This special occasion desert charcuterie was a pleasure to both the palette and the eye. With raspberries filled with chocolate to mini cinnamon rolls and homemade shortbread cookies, these treats are sure to please any crowd. This 24/16 board will happily feed 12-15! Welcome to my new page!! For those who know me, they know that baking and feeding people is a part of me, who I am!! It gives me so much joy! This page is a beginning to what I hope will eventually become much more. In the meantime I am still learning and testing the waters as well as managing time.
