Important information For NITIE: Thanks Devesh for sharing
First of all don't forget to apply for it even if you are having low GATE score, because year on year GATE score is decreasing for every branch, so don't believe totally on previous years GATE score cutoff.
Last year GATE score cutoff for general was around 700
So this year definitely GATE score cutoff for general will definitely be less than 700(around 650) because this year again GATE score has decreased for everyone.
So in my opinion even if you are having score of around 600 or even less than that & you are from general don't forget to apply, & respectively you can think of your respective category GATE Score as well.
*I will say apply for it don't think much*
*For Interview*
They will be checking your presence of mind, they will give you some situational questions, just you need to show that literally you want this, it is not about right or wrong answer,
Apna junun dikhawo
Hopefully 2 or 3 members will be there in your panel(parallely many panel will be taking interview)& you can't expect what they are going to ask, it depends on that particular person as well, but you need to be aware of current happening around the world, about new technologies, about NITIE. So just be active & show enthusiasm, don't give up easily
& Talking about Technical if you are from Mechanical engineering then prepare Industrial engineering in detail at least, they will surely going to ask you from that
*Girls will be having extra advantage & relaxation because they are focusing on gender balance as well*
Fir your reference I am attaching my interview experience as well, but again I am saying ur interview can go in any direction but some basic things will remain same.
*NITIE INTERVIEW EXPERIENCE 2022*
Date- 26/04/2022
In my panel 2 members were there
Interview lasted for about 26 minutes
P1:-DEWESH you are from which place, any major location nearest to your place.
Tell us something about you.
Why you have worked only for 5 months (as I mentioned that I resigned my job after 5 months).
What is your GATE percentage, is it a good number, why this year many candidates have less score?
Why did you went to Punjab for your graduation, there's not any good college in patna/nearby?
NIRF ranking, rank 1, 2, 3, 4 in year 2021.
Do you have any idea about NITIE? What is NITIE NIRF ranking?
You said that you did some project in airlines! What was it? Elaborate it.
If I want to open the cap of bottle, there is a seal right! You have to brake the seal and you have to open the bottle, so to brake the seal you need some amount of energy/force /torque, so can you quantify how much torque needed, what are the equipment to be used, how!! I need a single data (value), you have everything whatever you needed, consider it as a project
What are the different types of dynamometer, transducer (as I mentioned in above answer)
P2:- so you are from mechanical engineering!
Have you gone through any subject related to industrial engineering during your bachelor?
What is scheduling and sequencing?
What is optimization? In linear programming your feasible region is convex or concave? From where you start your solution!
Have you used simplex method? Explain detailed procedure (he had gone very deep in this)
Where do you use PERT & CPM, for which type of project we do use PERT/CPM, application area, name it.
Ok thanku and good luck, you can leave now.
FINAL RESULT:- CONVERTED in first merit list
