I’ve been studying and communing with the medicine of Cacao from a whole different perspective.

By eating the seeds.

It’s been really interesting to explore this medicine from its place of origin.

Cacao is known as the blood of Mother Earth and now I’ve been eating the seed that gives life to this blood!

Amazing.

So much has come through for me and I’m not even half way in yet. From new songs, to prayers, to visions to an even stronger and deeper relationship with this plant and its medicine.

But the most powerful of all, which has been roaming around my heart these days, is the acknowledgment of the potency there is behind passing on ancient wisdom.

This dieta is for a particular use and relationship that I’m building with Cacao (so kids, don’t try this at home!😉), and it was passed on through an abuelo in Mexico via my dear sister

“Return to Essence” was about connecting to your essence by recognizing and honoring the elements within.

All 12 of us got to sit in Inipi (Lakota Sweat Lodge) together. There was fear and resistance, but the sisterhood was stronger than any mental obstacle, and we all made it through.

Because we were in it together. Supporting each other. Reminding each other that we didn’t have to do it alone, and inspiring each other to keep going.

I’m so beyond honored to have guided this incredible group through profound transformation during the last 5 days.

So inspired by everyone’s choice to defeat the discomfort and open their hearts to the unknown, the foreign.

So so grateful I get to do what I love, with those I love.

So reverent to the Water, the Air, the Fire and the Earth that showed up in their fullest expression during the retreat.

And of course, so grateful to and Maria for guiding us through this rebirthing experience, and for teaching me new ways to be of service to the Fire, the abuelos and the womb of Mamma Earth. 🙏🏻

The first time I sat in Inipi or Sweat Lodge (as it is popularly known) I felt like I was back in the womb.

It was an intense experience of deep release and powerful downloads.

I received clear messages on how I needed to communicate about a specific fear I was moving through at the time, and it sparked a journey that I’m gracefully still on.

So grateful for this incredible medicine!! 🙏🏻

In the last few years I’ve had the honor of experiencing different sweat lodges, from different traditions and in different parts of the world, and each one has carried powerful and transformative medicine.

As I get ready to co-facilite an all-women retreat in Mt Shasta, I’m reflecting on my own journey to healing the sisterhood wound.⬇️

A few years ago, I didn’t have the consciousness of what it means to have a sister. I grew up with boys and don’t have a blood sister.

And it wasn’t until I learned to fall in love with EVERY ASPECT of being a woman, that I learned what sisterhood truly means.

We all know by now, that this society doesn’t encourage us to love other women as sisters. We’re rather encouraged to compete with them, judge them, be jealous of them, etc

And today I’m so deeply grateful to have shifted all that to awaken this consciousness around sisterhood and to be able to guide other women towards finding themselves and their tribe 🌹

Sisters…

🪷May we raise girls who HONOR and LOVE the women around them

🪷May we REMEMBER what is like to live as a TRIBE

🪷May we fully understand the power of WEAVING together

En los últimos 3 años, al igual que a muchos, me tocó adaptarme a nuevas formas de trabajo. Creé muchos programas y cursos onlines que se transformaron en la única forma de trabajar conmigo en mentorias y/o terapias.

Es una sesión que integra mentoría y terapia alternativa, en donde, a través de distintas modalidades, trabajamos en conjunto lo que tu estás buscando sanar.

Integramos técnicas como la Educación Emocional, el Empoderamiento, la Sanación Ancestral, la conexión con la Niña/Niño interior, Espiritualidad, Sanación Intuitiva, Embodiment, Coaching y otras.

Las sesiones duran aprox. 90 min y son a través de Zoom. Son abiertas a HOMBRES Y MUJERES.

I have come across people holding cacao ceremonies using regular chocolate bars, baking chocolate or other type of non-ceremonial grade cacao.

And here’s my humble opinion & thoughts …

While any type of ceremony can be very healing regardless of what you’re serving, when working with plant medicines we must honor the plant, its Spirit, the providers, the keepers of the land where it was harvested, and everyone involved in the process of making such medicine available to you.

If you’re a participant, make sure you inform yourself about the origin of the cacao (or any medicine) you’re about to drink as well as the harvesting and preparation processes and the projects that are being supported with the medicine you’re consuming.

Cacao was colonized by the Spanish and turned into the chocolate most people consume today. That chocolate does not contain the same healing properties as ceremonial grade cacao, as it has been grown & harvested in mass productions and it’s also way too processed to keep its purity.

If you’re a facilitator using non-ceremonial grade cacao, then YOU ARE COLONIZING the medicine too.

Please be respectful and honoring of our plant relatives and the traditions behind them.

To the Mayans, Cacao represented abundance, among other things.
This sacred beverage was served to royalty members, used in funerals and/or in important celebrations.

They valued this plant so much – not only for its exquisite flavor but also for its medicinal properties – that the beans were also used as currency.

Colonizers noticed the value of this magical plant and started using it in different ways. They brought it back to Europe and basically exploded it…

The chocolate most people consume today comes from Cacao, but it has nothing to do with its original quality.

Unfortunately, the processes that are used to make chocolate these days take away all the “good things” that pure Cacao can provide.

Could you imagine how amazing it’d be if all the chocolate that’s consumed in the world was replaced by pure ceremonial grade Cacao? The world would be so much better! 🙏🏻😍🍫

Next time you eat chocolate, take a moment to acknowledge its origin and remember it comes from a Sacred Plant.

La primera vez que oí sobre Ayahuasca fue hace 16 años.

Una persona muy cercana y muy querida que estaba viviendo su proceso de Sanación y descubrimiento personal y me habló de esta medicina y sus ceremonias.

La verdad, me pareció rarísimo. Mi primer impulso fue juzgar, criticar.

En mi mente conservadora, de crianza tradicional católica, no había espacio para algo tan “distinto”. Obvio que tenía que ser malo… una “droga”, una “farsa,” y si tenía algo de bueno, seguro que era solo temporal.

Recuerdo que en mi juicio hasta sentía rabia de que alguien fuera “tan ciego” y no pudiera ver “el daño” que esto le estaba causando. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Claramente eso no era mas que mi propio ego enjuiciando y defendiendome a mi misma de mi propio miedo.

Miedo a lo desconocido, a lo distinto…

Pero, ¿por qué somos tan devotos a la medicina química y le tememos a la medicina que viene de la Tierra?

Simplemente porque así es como nos han programado desde la colonización. Desconectados de la Tierra y de lo que Ella ofrece, y dedicándole atención y energía a lo viene de las máquinas y laboratorios; a eso que ya alguien más ha probado…

Resistimos lo desconocido y así mismo resistimos la transformación.

Hoy, después de muchos años de trabajo profundo de sanar, crecer y recordar quien soy, a través de incontables modalidades, siento más que reverencia y una profunda gratitud, por todas las medicinas naturales que tenemos el HONOR de acceder en nuestro camino al corazón.
