Hey mamas! Just sharing in case we can reach families who need some extra help this holiday season.

Everyone deserves to experience the magic of Christmas. If you are in need, please help yourself to a Christmas tree at any one of our 4 locations. No need to ask, simply take what you need. 🎄

Untangle those strings of lights, check every bulb, and get your ladders in working order - because it's time for the Belleville Community Club's Annual Holiday Decorations Competition!!!

You can enter your own holiday display or nominate one you love for judging in the "Traditional", "Griswold", or "Group/Neighborhood" categories. The panel of judges will be viewing your displays after sunset on December 15th, 2023 so be sure to have your entries submitted by noon on 12/15/23 and have your displays plugged in and working by sunset that evening! Up to (1) $50 prize is available for each category.

It is happening this weekend!

The Lighted Fire Truck will be out and about Friday, Saturday and Sunday! We will start as it gets dark.

Look for the tracking link later in the week!

The tentative plan is as follows.

Town of Montrose and the North Side of the Village Friday Night. (North Shore Dr will be the cut off Friday night)

Saturday we will complete the rest of the Village of Belleville.

Sunday will be the Town of Exeter!

Help us make holiday paper chains to decorate the Children's Area! We will have paper strips and glue sticks available in the Children's Area, Teen Area, and Adult Area.

Did you know, our group started FOUR YEARS ago this month! One simple invite to the mamas in town to meetup at the coffee shop on Saturday morning turned into the most incredible community ❤️ Our group page has connected hundreds of mamas in our village! Some things we’ve done together over the last four years:
Coffee meetups, stroller walks, meal trains, bubble buddies, clothing trains, toy loans, trading posts, supported each other with cards/gifts/flowers even breastmilk!, park picnic meetups, moms nights outs, pumpkin parties, Easter egg hunt/community party, Valentine exchanges, supporting local mama run businesses, and texting/calling/messaging through all aspects of mamahood!
How did we accomplish all of this!?
I’ll tell you! Everyone simply showed up. Belleville is such an incredible community and I’m convinced it’s because of the mamas who live here.
I laugh when I see the memes joking about ”the village” that’s supposed to show up when you’re a mama….because what we’ve created here is EXACTLY that.
We’re just mamas showing up for each other…but that doesn’t give it enough credit.
The way I’ve experienced and seen the mamas show up for each other in this village is nothing short of incredible ❤️
I LOVE living in and building this community with you all! One of the greatest joys of my entire life ❤️

Something fun at the zoo ❤️

Join us for a fun new program for our youngest zoo visitors!

Stroller Safari is a 30-minute guided tour around the zoo for young learners and their adult. Each session will begin with a familiar nursery song before touring the zoo with one of our knowledgeable educators. Stroller Safari is designed for children 0 to 2 years old. Each session is only $5!

Lake Belle View is closed! If you have noticed an odor today around the lake it is due to a build up of Blue Green Algae. This algae is dangerous to humans and can be deadly to dogs. If you have concerns please contact your doctor or vet. If you have questions please call Village Hall at 608.424.3341.

Head over to Library Park tomorrow Friday, July 29 at 11:00 to our Hula Hoop Dance Class with Danielle of Hoop Elation. Bring a picnic lunch with you and then afterwards, participate in some fun kids activities, and see who the lucky grand prize winners are for the kids and teens Summer Library Program! The Friends of the Belleville Public Library, Inc. - WI will also be providing ice cream as a special treat! Yum!
