Our story

Here at Rawette we make delicious, friendly and fun fermented veggie food: pickles, chutneys, slaws and much more.

Rawette started with a passion for delicious food and a strong desire to make food more sustainable...

Rawette is friendly to our planet as we use organic produce most of which is grown around Brussels or in Belgium. We are part of the zero waste movement and produce as little waste as possible, upcycling foods that would normally go to waste (such as citrus and other peels, brewers grain and wine sediment). Fermenting, an age old method, also consumes less energy during production while preserving more nutrients.

Rawette products are friendly to you, too! They are yummy. They are designed to be easy to store and easy to add to your favourite dishes. They help you to add more fruit and veg to your diet. Fermenting helps to preserve all their nutritious bits; it even enhances some vitamins and develops lots of those really healthy probiotics. All this helps your gut feel good and your brain happy.
