The WI are today raising money towards a defibrillator at the Village Hall in Pott Row with an afternoon of 'Just Desserts' 😋

There is also a craft stall and raffle 😀

3 cakes and 6 cupcakes to make this weekend. 3 cakes is probably my limit at any one time, they take time, concentration, patience and love so when something unexpected happens it can throw me completely off course. We tragically lost our beloved cat Paloma on Friday, right in the middle of my cake making. My heart broke.

But my God that made me and gave me the gift of baking gave me the ability to get those cakes finished in the midst of my confusion and heartache and I am so thankful to him for that. When someone asks me to make a cake for their loved one or friend it really does mean so much, they are trusting me with something that will hold a memory for them in the future as well as a special moment in the present.

I want to dedicate these cakes to the memory of Paloma ❤
