I get this question all of the time, and I wanted to give an answer for any clients or future clients of mine!
*These are just suggestions that I like to give personally. Other stylists may not think the same, and that’s ok! These are for color services! If you’re just getting a cut or something like that, then feel free to come in however you want! In no way is this to shame anyone. I’m simply answering a frequently asked question! *

When you should wash your hair:
• If you have been in a pool and got your hair wet. Pool water and lightener do not mix well together, and I know this because I’ve had an encounter with the two before. Not fun!
• If you have a lot of dry shampoo in your hair.
Dry shampoo is meant to absorb moisture and oil. When you come to get your hair colored or lightened, we are using cream-like products on your hair, and they have (for lack of a better word) ✨moisture✨ If you have a lot of dry shampoo, these products may not deposit or lighten as well as they should, and that could result in your hair not looking how you wanted.
• If your hair is VERY oily.
When you do not wash your hair for an extended period of time, you get oil buildup. We have alllll been there before, so there is no shade at all. But it makes it very hard to highlight when the hair is all clumped together. That’s just my experience!

If none of these describe your hair, then by all means do not wash it! It’s totally fine if it’s a little dirty. I’m not here to judge, I promise! I say this to a lot of my clients, but we are going to wash it two or three times anyway, so it doesn’t have to be “clean” when you come in! If you are not able to wash your hair before you come in, then that is fine as well! Just please let your stylist know if you have pool water in your hair 😅 I hope everyone enjoys the rest of their week!

I never post straight hair so here y’all go!
The difference in straight vs curled is crazy!
I always tell my clients that their hair will look different depending on how they style it.
If your inspiration picture is of curled hair and you never curl your hair then the results will definitely be different! Just keep that in mind!
