We are thrilled to announce the overwhelming success of our Free Mezuzah campaign with achieving our goal in just 40 minutes! The response from households eager to proudly display their mezuzahs and proclaim their Jewish identity has been incredible. Since the start of the war in Israel, Jews around the world have been searching for meaningful ways to connect to their heritage and to their community. To proudly and publicly proclaim their Jewish identity and unity through the mitzvah of mezuzah.

MyZuzah, and our partner organizations worldwide, are seeing an extraordinary increase in demand for mezuzot. The demand is so great, we do not have enough supplies to keep up with the requests.

YOU can help Jews around the world connect and unite around their Jewish identity by putting a mezuzah on their front doorpost. Donate now at www.myzuzah.org/donate

Ambassador Deborah Lipstadt suggests that the best way to counter antisemitism is to proudly embrace our own Jewish traditions— and what better way to do that than with a mezuzah?

Did you know that My Zuzah has an instruction card on how to install a mezuzah? Here are some other important things to remember:
1. Right side of the door (as you enter)
2. Top third of the doorframe
3. Pointed straight up (Sefardi) or angled inward (Ashkenazi)
4. Mezuzahs are needed on all doors to rooms where you sleep, eat, or study
5. Don't put a mezuzah on bathroom or closet doors (unless the closet is very large)

In Offenbach am Main, Germany, Rabbi Yaakov Barasch continued his work with the local Jews, mainly of Soviet/Russian extraction. If you look closely, you can see that this mezuzah recipient remembers his relatives who perished in the Shoah (Holocaust) through their names, which are tattooed on his forearm.

In Tel Aviv, a group of forty women who had left their homes in Russia, Ukraine, and Belorussia over the past year were gathered by Momentum
as part of an ongoing series of programs to help them integrate into their new country, and to engage with the Jewish heritage that many had never explored. Rabbi Motl Gordon led a session on mystical significance of the mezuzah, while touching upon the ideas of changing homes while remaining connected to G-d– something that tied together the overall theme about the meaning of home, in the context of fleeting your home, finding a new one in Israel, and having a Jewish home. 🇮🇱

My Zuzah is saddened by the loss of Gary Rosenthal, iconic artist, partner, and mensch. His work set a new standard for creativity in Judaica, and his efforts to make Jewish practice more joyful and beautiful will last for many generations. MyZuzah was privileged to collaborate with Gary on a special line of mezuzah cases, which we look forward to sharing with the world to elevate his soul and memory.

In 2017, the Mayberg Foundation created My Zuzah with the goal of putting a kosher mezuzah on the front door of every Jewish home in the world. 🌎

Also part of the mission is a commitment to ethical, fair-trade standards, which means that every mezuzah purchased for this project comes from certified scribes (based in Israel) 🇮🇱who are supported and paid a premium for their work, in adherence to Fair Trade Standards.

Last month, Anshe Emet Synagogue and Holocaust Community Services in Chicago hosted an event where synagogue members joined for learning about the work of HCS, shared their personal stories, and then went off to place mezuzahs on the apartments of local Holocaust survivors.

One of the community members who helped to make visits and place mezuzahs with the survivors shared her feelings: This is such a gift to be able to participate in— to connect to survivors, to help connect them to their Judaism, especially if they weren’t able or comfortable before. Mezuzahs are particularly special, and really imbue the place with a different feeling.
