Our keynote speaker Sharon Caples McDougle a "modern day hidden figure" for her work with NASA as a Space Shuttle Crew Escape Equipment Manager. Becoming the only woman and only African American woman to serve in that role. Was just awesome to hear her story.

Congratulations to Floretta P Carson Visual and Performing Arts Academy and Dr. Krista Williams on your Grand Opening. The Academy is located on Cottage Hill Road and is the first of its kind in the state. The Mobile Area Black Chamber of Commerce was happy to collaborate in this special Ribbon Cutting ceremony. The kids and parents are excited about the up coming school year. When they graduate the students will either graduate with a certificate or an Associate's Degree from Bishop State Community College.
