Cardboard Robot Creative
I’m swerve - lead designer / art director / creative problem solver. Previously a casual design academic at the college of fine arts (UNSW) and University or technology ( UTS ). Right now the senior designer at southern cross university scu.edu.au . Previously the design lead at ovato.com.au and senior designer at ogilvy PR. I’ve been in the graphic arts for 20+s years and worked in a lot of studios for a lot of clients in publishing, advertising & marketing, projection mapping, product design and education. I create websites, social, UX strategy, UI design, art and creative direction, long form documents, signage, way finding, branding, motion graphics, animation and more. I’m a visual communicator with an extended tool set for creative problem solving with roots in design thinking. And owner of cardboard robot creative,
Cardboard Robot Creative Services grew from the ashes of Dual Plover, a record label, creative agency, cd and dvd consolidation point, touring agency and much more that I ran with my friend (and amazing artist in his own right) Lucas Abela. After 15 years we called it quits, Lucas still runs the record label and touring and I still run the cd and dvd manufacturing for DIY artists as well as designing and producing digital experiences for clients all over the world.
