Hey y’all!
Whether y’all have noticed or not, I have not been posting on my hair page! I have been trying to fix some issues at school! And well they were unable to be fixed...
I’ll walk y’all through.
So throughout school, you are suppose to go Wednesday-Fridays 9am-5:30pm, and Saturdays 8:30am-5pm, well of course I had sick days, who doesn’t! I went to the doctor every time and got a note. Well on May 3rd I went to school that morning with a severe migraine, I couldn’t keep my eyes open! Well my teacher advised me to leave and go to the doctor and bring back a note. Well that’s exactly what I did. I went to the doctor and she diagnosed me with a severe migraine and asked why I was even driving. She also diagnosed me with severe Anxiety/Depression. Well a couple hours later I received a text, (YES A TEXT) saying the have dropped me from school for not having permission to leave! The teacher that sent me home stood up for me and told them that she did give me permission! The Administrator is no longer at that school because she had been getting sexually harassed by the owner of the school!
While my time in school there every teacher I had quit and there was a time I went 8 weeks without a teacher teaching me anything! And when you would ask for help, they would tell you “Go home and watch your videos. We shouldn’t have to help when you come to school”
Obviously God had different plans for me, he took me out of that stressful environment and has me going in a different direction!
If anyone or if you know anyone who wants to go to cosmetology school! I do not suggest AVEDA-INSTITUTE TALLAHASSEE! They are a very unprofessional!

Hey, my name is DeAnna, I’m just gunna say a couple things to introduce myself. Some of you may know me on a personal level. Some may only know me through mutual friends. I’m currently engaged, and have a beautiful bonus daughter! My wedding date is October 26, 2019. I love doing hair and makeup, it’s not just something I’m just doing to have a check, it’s something I really enjoy. Growing up my mom told me don’t do it because of the money do it because you love it. Right now, I’m a Masters student at Aveda Institute Tallahassee and I graduate in July! I take clients every week Wednesday-Saturday, and every one of those days I meet people and I hear their ups and downs, we cry, we laugh, we gossip. I’ve gained my regulars who come and see me every 6 weeks. I’ve made friends. At first I have to admit it was hard. My anxiety, made me miss days of school. And I still have anxiety to this day, but once i start playing with my clients hair and start talking, it calms me. If you love doing hair and you aren’t in school, I definitely want to tell you, go to school, get your license, be happy! It’s one of the best decisions I have made in life!
