This was the last time I had lunch with my dear friends Roy and Jean. Yesterday I drove to Enid for Roy’s funeral. Roy loved telling me about how Jesus saved him in his 30s when he was a “hopeless drunk,” and every time he told me, he teared up. He never got over it! He spent the rest of his life as a pastor, loving and giving in extraordinary ways. The church was full today, with lots of laughter and celebration of this truly influential man. Life races by, friends. Let’s make it count, like Roy did!

Did you know God lets us drink from His river of delights (Psalm 36:8)? If you're thinking God is stingy, harsh, or boring, that is not true! He is abundant and generous, inviting us to dive into His river of delights. I'm already in, so join me. The water is more than fine.

I’ve been studying the book of Joshua to teach tomorrow. I put these declarations/commitments together as I went through, and am claiming them for myself. You’re welcome to use them too. They’re straight from God’s Word, so we can’t lose!

Great meeting this morning at Coffee Slingers to continue planning the next Celebration of the Bible event. It’s city-wide and free! November 15th. More information to come but !!

Often when we hear the word generosity, we think of giving money, or donating items. But generosity is a deeper concept than that. One of the most challenging parts of generosity is being able to be happy for other people, no matter what's going on personally. Being able to cheer them on, pray for them, and want the best for them, even with personal concerns or a heavy heart. God has the capacity to do amazing things for all of us. Just because He does one thing for that person, doesn't mean He can do something else for you, or me. His blessings and goodness are limitless! So I pray His favor, abundance, and outpouring over you today, friends. Flourish! Be all you were created to be!!

We're doing an overview of the book of Numbers in class this morning. What a fantastic book! All the drama comes down to a basic question, do we trust God? Jesus is the perfect blend of loving completely AND always doing what is right for everyone. That's a challenging standard! But I'm asking the Lord to help me have that blend, to make me more like Him. To love with my whole heart, but also be able to tell the truth compassionately, and do what is right. Asking for this! 🙏🏻

I'm in a big learning season, which I love. It's sometimes a bit unsettling because God always nudges us forward and deeper, but I embrace it! One of the things I'm discovering in fresh ways is that we easily live at a moderate level of faith and expectation, get comfortable there, and forget to believe and ask BIG. He promises us so much that we end up leaving on the table because we don't pray into it, lean into it, and look for it expectantly! He has shown me several things to pray over, lean into, and look for expectantly. so I'm excited to see what happens. I'm not leaving anything on the table! Don't believe the lie that being a Christ follower is boring or restrictive. When we *really live it* nothing could be farther from the truth. 🙌⭐️👏

One of the things I love about cruising is the international staff. This is Bikrama from India. He was our server all week in the dining room. He was so good! And so kind! And so gracious! A lovely person. We looked forward to seeing him every evening. Of the 840 crew members from 57 countries, only 10 were from the USA so we got to interact with people from all over the world. Human beings of all sizes, shapes, and colors are God’s image on display and it’s spectacular! 🙌🏻

Made it back to the airport! ✈️ Tons of traffic on the way. A drive that usually takes 40 minutes, took 1:15. But I had plenty of time so I wasn’t stressed, and it give me an opportunity to reflect on the goodness of God this week. 🙌🏻⭐️ 5 days of getting to know the team better, loving on clients, developing new relationships, eating fantastic food, laughing a lot, and doing damage control on the coffee brewing disaster of 2023. ☕️☕️ and the Convoy of Hope workshop are in the books, but wonderful memories and connections will go on. Thank you, Jesus! ✝️💗🥰

I had the honor of attending my friend Doug Wilson’s 4-year sobriety anniversary party. What a worthy celebration! 🎉 Congratulations!! Thank you, my friend, for showing so many of us what grit and gratitude look like. A long standing O to every person who is in recovery!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

celebration, we started yesterday morning at the OK Stockyards Cattle Auction. 🐂 That was a first! And so interesting. 😀 I wanted to buy them all. 😍

It can be a challenging habit to start, but once you’ve created room for God to move through you (from His word), I promise that you’ll notice a difference!

Let’s try this. I challenge you to read scripture once a day for one week. Whether that’s a whole chapter, one scripture, or even a plan through the Bible App! I’d love to give you tips and encouragement. Let’s do this! 💯🔥❤️
