Wellesley College Choir

Cornell University, University of Virginia, and the U.S. National and international tours have led them to perform in such venues as the National Cathedral in Washington D.C., La Basilique Notre-Dame Montreal, the Mezquita in Cordoba and St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome where they performed before a Papal Audience. The Choir has commissioned many important new works, including music by Marjorie Merryman, William Hawley, Kirke Mechem, David Childs and Joan Szymko. The Wellesley College Choir regularly performs on Boston area professional concert series, often collaborating with the New England Philharmonic and with choral programs such as those of Harvard, Cornell and Rutgers. Recently, the Choir performed at the 2010 American Choral Director Associations’ Eastern Division Convention in Philadelphia. The Wellesley College Choral Program is proud to be a founding institutional member of the National Collegiate Choral Organization.
