It's the start of week 5... time to avoid studying by dreaming of your mid-sem break trips.

We've got you sorted with a trip to Paynes Ford from the 29th March to 3rd April (note dates are flexible, you can stay as long or as short as you want so long as you can find a ride), a trip to Wanaka from the 10th to 16th April (likewise, dates flexible), and our classic OUTC-combined trip to Elephant Rocks from the 20th-21st April.

Well, we've got you sorted. Next weekend (9-10 March) we have an epic trip to Woolshed Creek! This is beginner-friendly, but also fun for those with more experience. Only 5 spaces left on the trip, so sign up quick!

The following weekend (16-17 March), we have a trip to Bullock Creek on the West Coast. This is some truly spectacular rock climbing in an adventurous West Coast rainforest. This trip is suited to those who have done a bit of climbing before, and most of the climbs are in the grade range 18-22.

New to UC and keen to get involved in the climbing scene? Want to meet cool people and gain unnatural finger strength?

Come along to Clubs Day tomorrow (Tuesday 18th July) at Haere-Roa, between 11am and 2pm, to meet some of the friendly Committee and get your hands on a membership sticker and Club t-shirt if it tickles your fancy (only $15). Membership costs $20 for students or $30 for non-students (payable by cash or eftpos). Perks include awesome discounts at local climbing gyms and gear shops, free gear hire, and the chance to meet lots of fellow climbing enthusiasts at Club nights and on trips!

It's Term 3 now, so we'll hopefully be getting a flood of fresh exchange students ready to join us for our CLUB NIGHTS. Reminder that club nights are:

Mondays: Meet at the UCSA Carpark at 5:00pm, Head to the YMCA for discounted $10 indoor top roping and leading (leading requires a lead-check which needs to be arranged over the phone). The club provides harnesses and ropes if needed.

Wednesdays: Indoor bouldering at the UC Rec Center 7pm-9pm. We've just put up some new routes fresh for the send. Come along with friends for a bit of banter with your fellow climbers or to try it out and sign up to the club.

Fridays: Meet at the UCSA Carpark at 5:00pm, head over to Uprising via bike, car or bus for a discounted $16 entry to the gym for club members ($5 more to hire shoes).

Tonight is Monday so we'll be heading to the YMCA! Meet at the UCSA Carpark at 5:00pm!!! I won't see you there but you'll see some other cool committee members!
