Their music is a unique fusion of electronic and avant-garde styles that result in a haunting experience. Keen Distress is set to release their debut album, "Overshadowed" in September 2023 on the Inner Tension label. The album features intricate, glitchy beats and atmospheric soundscapes that create an otherworldly listening impression. In addition to their innovative sound, Keen Distress also places a strong emphasis on the visual aspect of their project. The peculiar images (no CGI, just fluids on a microscope slide) that accompany their music were created in collaboration with Cosmodernism

This Saturday, September 2, our event in Warsaw starts with a panel discussion “Claiming Space: Representability in Latin America, South Africa, Eastern Europe”. A global interaction to build dialogue and debate about clubbing spaces and its accesses, and about inclusivity as a platform to engage and express.

The cross-continental conversation will be moderated by our brilliant activist Tyler Golato featuring guests such as Amanda Mussi, multi-talented artist from São Paulo, Brazil - Uncle Nick, promoter from Cape Town, South Africa - and the two significant leading figures in Poland for electronic music; Blazej Malinowski and Jędrzej Dondziło aka Dtekk.

We invite you to the club for our free-of-charge panel appointment from 19 pm during Clubbing Heritage x Inner Tension at Jasna 1.

An exclusive interview with Claudio PRC & Tyler Golato will precede the panel.

Blazej Malinowski joins forces with Neel, Claudio PRC, Milena Glowacka and Svreca for a collaborative EP via his own Inner Tension imprint on the 26th of May 2023.
Over the past decade, Poland-born now Berlin-based producer, DJ, and radio journalist Blazej Malinowski has been delivery his twist on Techno via imprint such as Silent Season, Kvalia, TGP, 012 and of course his own Inner Tension label where he returns here with a new collaborative EP. The idea behind the record was to connect Blazej with artists he has close connections to and create music that would capture the moment in time at which it was made, based on pure emotion and without limitation. The resultant ‘Are We All Alone or Just Overwhelmed’ EP is testament to Blazej’s inherent connection to Techno.
Up first on the package is ‘Time Is Relative’, a collaboration with Italian DJ, producer and engineer Neel which meanders through an amalgamation of intricately intertwined synth leads, robust percussion, and a grinding low- end drive. ‘Riddle’ with Claudio PRC follows and wanders into deeper territories via ethereal, billowing textures, metallic chimes and resonant synth flutters floating atop a circling bass groove and crisp drums.
On the flip-side Milena Glowacka joins Blazej for ‘Equal’, a subtly unfurling composition laid out across seven minutes with bubbling tones, dynamic percussive elements and a pulsating low-end. ‘Coincidence’, composed with Milena Glowacka then rounds out the release, a murky journey through haunting atmospherics, bumpy off-kilter drums, and eerie percussive fills.
