The WTFAIA expresses our sincere condolences to family and friends of Chief Zeb Smith and the Fritch VFD family. We mourn his loss and offer our prayers and thought during this tragic time.

With the recent devastating fires in the Panhandle this past week, we, the executive board felt it was time we helped.
The Executive Board is excited to announce the creation of The Panhandle Fireman's and Fire Marshall's Association Disaster Relief Fund.
This Fund is available to not only members of our district, but to any Fire Department within our district. If your department has suffered damages to equipment, you can reach out, and request financial assistance to help with repairs. We know repairs are not cheap, and we want to help. Unfortunately, the West Texas Fire Investigators Association must cancel the ARE109-FI-210 Wildland Fire Cause & Origin Determination Class for May 2nd- 4th 2023. The lead instructor had to make an emergency cancelation. We apologize for the extremely late notification. TEEX has been notified and the class is also canceled on their end. We do not have an alternate class date scheduled at this time. Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience and extremely late notification for this cancelation.
