This genetic line is as sweet as can be, but about half of them look pitiful in photos - in person you can see that the tails never stop wagging and if there is a toy available they will be holding it, and if there is a face available they will be kissing it 😄😘

Here is Blossom, who was a reading therapy dog and a mom for our E and F litters, and then a working service dog for her forever family 🥰 At nearly 12 years old she continues to be healthy and happy, and is still all about playing fetch - a trait she passed on very strongly, especially to her E litter pups!

Zorro's breakfast - the fish was #1 to go!

- chunk of hoki fish (meat/bone/organ)
- beef and veggie paw
- apple and banana paw
- yogurt, broccoli stalk, cucumber paw
- frozen cube of bone broth
- sq**rt of wheat germ oil

This is not intended to be a fully balanced meal, just a generally healthy meal of fresh food with a wide nutritional range, with the majority of the meal being fresh meat with bones and organs. Every meal contains different proteins, different veggies, different supplements with a goal of balanced over time. (Very similar to how humans eat - variety over the day/week/month to cover all the nutrients we need)

Missing sweet Fable who passed away last year 💔

The F litter was an interesting experience - they have phenomenal temperaments so I would never "undo" having this litter, but something happened causing all 5 to have some level of crooked front legs (2 extremely minor; 1 significant; 1 significant and with dwarfism; 1 disabled but doesn't know it), and there are other physical characteristics that are impacted too. Both parents and all relatives are normal, and each parent had other litter/s that were normal. For 100% of the litter to have some level of affectedness the general practice vets and orthopedic surgeon believe it to be from an exposure during pregnancy, and not of genetic origin. That said, the only one who was in consideration for breeding was Fable (a U-CH among other titles and being a service dog), but the opportunity didn't come to pass 🐾

Is your Poodle a fading color? Post pics below!

Burban is here to demonstrate the neat fading of a blue coat. Burban was black at birth, but his parents are silver and cream, which means that we always expected him to fade to a lighter color. He is 1.5 years old here and with every hair cut he gets a bit lighter. You can see clearly here that his longer hair is still dark, but the freshly-clipped areas are getting quite light! Not all blue Poodles get as light as he is turning, but we don't consider him light enough to be a silver because that would need a significantly lighter face (practically white) from just a few months old.

The dog in this beautiful family is Asha, dam of Comfort (and there-by granddam of Ideal and Marvel, and great granddam of Quiche and Tulip). Asha is nearly 13 years old now and she has officially been retired from service work for a while but there are still tasks she enjoys to help her partner with around the house and on their pet-friendly excursions.

Check it out! Bergin's vet is a cockatoo! 🦜Bergin is one of our first few service dogs, enthusiastically working since around 2013.

I don't put a strict timeline on when my teams need to retire - I let their partners choose when certain tasks are no longer appropriate, and when public access or working at home are no longer in the dog's best interest... as a breed, Poodles tend to be healthy and clearly wanting to work into their double digits, and often are in really good shape until a significant health issue comes along. We've got a good handful of APAW service dog teams who are 10-13 years old and still wanting to work (and still out-playing younger dogs at social gatherings!) 💞

Sweet little Marvel is hoping to add more titles to her name this summer/fall in preparation for her planned litters this winter and next spring/summer! Her current title is the novice level of precision coursing, chasing a fake 'bunny' around a course. Hoping we'll be adding rally, trick, and a few temperament titles at least at the basic levels before the show season dwindles around here 🤞

I do have a long waiting list of interested homes, but due to experiencing so many homes needing to pull back at the last minute with my prior litters I am still adding homes to my list for me to reach out to when she comes into heat to hopefully have solid homes lined-up for each pup well before go-home age.
If you are looking to get a Poodle around 20-30 lbs, natural tail and dews, silver or blue hair, with a spunky/social/performance temperament around early or mid 2025, please reach out to me on the sooner side :)
