Stone Shadow
Rock / Metal covers band based in Bury.
Formed in 2007, we play lots of classic rock and metal tracks but mix it up with newer material from some of the great bands around at the moment.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Big love to everyone who came and partied with Millennium2000BC last night, it was ace to see people up dancing and fantastic to see the club celebrate it's 24th anniversary.
Thank you to Rattler, Coach, and all at the club for your hospitality, and congrats to everyone who won prizes in the raffle, we hope you raised loads of money for the charity 🥰🥰
Grey Mare.... we had a blast! See you again later this year.
This lady is the reason why we love doing pub gigs. We hardly had enough room to fit the 5 of us in the corner but being able to see the enjoyment on peoples' faces close up is truly a privilege and probably the main reason we have been doing this since 2007. Thank you to the landlady Jayne for having us back again, to the wonderful Nathan who was depping for our poorly singer Rick and to everyone who came along to support live music. Rick will be back for our next gig on March 22nd in sunny Samlesbury.
Well.... one dep singer, two set list changes and a whole stack of daft jokes later, we are ready to rock at The Grey Mare this coming Friday. Come down and unleash your inner Rocker, and don't forget your air guitars for Lyndsey's Birthday Gig - Rock in Ramsbottom!
We play covers of songs by Iron Maiden, Metallica, ACDC, Judas Priest, The Answer, Led Zep, Whitesnake, Anthrax, Billy Idol and more besides 🥰
MARCH 1st at The Grey Mare: Big love to Nathan for being awesome! He is depping for Rick who is recovering from the lurgy. If you have missed Nathan since he left Stone Shadow, you'll have a chance to see him singing with us again at The Grey Mare on Friday March 1st. Expect heavy rock singalongs and all the usual shenanigans at Lyndsey's Birthday Gig - Rock in Ramsbottom!
😂😂😂
Our bass player is a maniac
😂😂😂
Do drummers get a day for hugs because we often can't see them on gig photos? 😂😂
Big love to everyone who turned out to Glaston-BURY Festival - Bury - Bury to see little old us at Wyldes. It was ace to see everyone rocking out and we hope that lots of money was raised for Bury Hospice
Bury was a very, very happy place 🥰🥰
It's nearly time! Tomorrow we are playing at Glaston-BURY Festival - Bury and we will be ready to raise the roof at Wyldes (on the corner near the Robert Peel statue) at 6.10pm. We have a cracking singalong heavy rock covers set lined up for you all, and we can't wait to see your beautiful faces! Thank you for supporting Glaston-BURY and Bury Hospice

Phil R can actually play the piano if anyone fancies a singalong 🤣🤣🤣
Phil's garage got flooded... if we gave Rick cymbals as well he'd be dangerous!
It's been a while (about 10 years probably) since we covered Airbourne 😂😂😂
Haha we remember the days when we used to have bottles of Trooper! Times have changed eh?
Sneaked a little bit of Stranger Things into our set yesterday Stone Shadow 🤘🤘😁
We had a blast playing at Glaston-BURY Festival - Bury yesterday, as we have every year that we’ve played. The venue we played was full with plenty of crowd participation throughout our set - Thankyou to everyone who came to see us, it really is appreciated, you were all great 👍🏻.
Sore heads today after a few too many beers - twas worth it though 😁 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Not gonna lie, we are getting a bit emotional now. Tonight was our last rehearsal with Nathan and tomorrow is going to be his last ever gig with us! Sh*t's getting real....
Make sure you come and see us sending him out in fine style.... We are playing Glaston-BURY Festival - Bury at 3.25pm on the Club 66 stage. For those of us of a certain age, that's what used to be The Royal so it's a big nostalgia trip as well. Hope to see you there!
We are delighted to be a part of Glaston-BURY Festival - Bury again but we are also sad that it will be Nathan's last gig with us. Make sure you come along and help us to bid him a very fond farewell!
Glaston-BURY 2022 line up (More to be added). Please share with your music loving pals.
🥰🥰We have added a very important fixture so please join in wherever you may be. A round of applause and a huge amount of cheering will take place at 4pm to celebrate the lives and memories of our absent friends from over the years. This is a formal part of the running order featuring a list of names being read out on all the indoor and outdoor stages and will be an integral part of Glaston-BURY going forward. Our way of keeping our departed friends in our hearts and helping make new memories in their honour 🥰🥰
Performance wise, we have a wide range of indoor venues and we also take to the streets with 4 outdoor stages all with amazing lineups this August Bank Holiday Monday. We have so many new performers on the lineup and of course we will welcome back some firm favourites.
This year we have dedicated the whole event in memory of our friends Steve and Gerry Birtles. Join us to embrace the music and celebrate our wonderful town and it's talented people.
We will be posting shortly about how to apply for a stall on our traders market and with more detail about how you can get involved with Glaston-BURY. Our website and press pack will be updated in due course.
Love as always

BIG NEWS! Our fantastic frontman Nathan is off to pastures new so we will soon be looking for a new singer. Nathan's last gig with us will be at this year's Glaston-BURY Festival on August 29th. Anyone interested in auditioning to be his replacement please get in touch. Age/gender not important. Must be able to sing covers of songs by Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Anthrax, Whitesnake, ACDC, Chris Cornell, Queen, Billy Idol (and similar) and be able to demonstrate experience fronting a gigging band.
🥰🥰🥰
We have had a brilliant few years with Nathan and will all miss him immensely. We are chuffed to bits for him because he is now the new singer for Sellsword who are without a doubt right up his street (musically not geographically!) and we know that he is going to totally boss it. Good luck Nathan!
We are back at The Brook, Ramsbottom this Saturday! Expect heavy rock covers with plenty of singalongs and much fun, flag waving and merriment to be had. Venues and bands need support so if you can't make it to a gig please help the cause by telling your rock loving pals about it just in case they fancy a quick headbang 😉
