There could only be one winner and after using a number generator to randomly select an entry number - the super-computer opted for Entry Number 256 of 1463 and selected Samuel Cannell to win our 2024 Inaugural Freedom To Flourish Brick Giveaway entitling them to a free Brick every week for the next Year!

Anyone that knows me knows Iām a big fan of a Non Alcoholic Cocktail. Upon consuming one in the previous weeks there was a flavour pairing I donāt think I would ever have put together but my goodness it works phenomenally well. So this is Raspberry, Pineapple & Lemon and I am gonna put it out there and say itās my favourite soft serve to date. Open today 1-9 with this Vegan special available in all three shops!
A little appreciation post for our Shakes? I feel like we have a growing contingent of people who try our shakes and then never look back, that then becomes their Gelatory order. Our shakes can be made with any of our Gelato flavours in the cabinet and in a large you can have up to 2 to make some insane combos.
Featured here is my shake order, nice and simple but a classic Milkshake done well - Fresh Strawberry which is on in all of our shops on this rainy Thursday! šš„¤
The demands put on me by the boss (also me) are challenging when you want to have a brand new flavour every day but when weāre open 7 days a week thatās 2 more a week than usual with no recovery and little thinking time. So there may be a few more classics appearing over the next couple of weeks because we can do them and do them pretty well. Tuesday Spesh - Cherry Meringue Pie šš„§
I think this is one of the simplest but tastiest combination of flavours, itās a classic. I remember this was always my order when on Summer Holidays as a child. Raspberry 99 - Milk Gelato, our Raspberry Sauce and Crumbled Flake.

Some words on The Royal Show, our non attendance and a very exciting competition with a Mega Prizeā¦
Iām a huge fan of The Royal Show. I think itās a fantastic celebration of Manx Farming & Agriculture of which we at Gelatory are massive champions of, being high volume users of Manx Milk & Cream.
Iād love for us to attend the Royal Show to showcase our Gelato and up until Tuesday of this week we were planning on being amongst a number of other brilliant Manx Food Producers in the DEFA marquee at the event. Given the cancellation of the food and drink festival (an event we were very excited to be a part of) we were informed that DEFA with their marquee would have a greater presence & showcase at The Royal to which they invited producers to exhibit at to make up for the cancellation of the food and drink festival.
Sadly despite originally being told we were able to attend, on Tuesday Afternoon I was informed by DEFA on the day before we were due to set up (and after already doing a lot of prep for the event) that we now werenāt allowed to attend because of an exclusivity / sponsorship agreement the show has with a vendor. The irony of the email footer saying āIsle of Man. Giving you freedom to flourishā was not lost on me.
Businesses and organisations are of course free to conduct themselves however they see fit. Maybe I just think differently but Iām a great believer that competition is healthy and more than anything choice for our Manx Community is an important option to have. Additionally I think itās a shame that such a key event and celebration of the Isle of Man & Farming appears to be a closed shop for businesses that want to also join that celebration.
Anyway I just wanted to provide some context as a number of people have asked or messaged asking if weāll be there and now you know why weāre not - weāre not allowed.
We do however have a massive competition weāre going to run across all of our stores this weekend as a Royal Show Special (Fri-Sun). In Peel, Ramsey & Douglas we have a QR Code where you can scan to enter our āFreedom to Flourish Brick Giveawayā. This will enter you into a draw where the prize is 1 x 500g Brick Every Week for the next year until the next Royal Show. Maybe weāll make it an annual event also? Thatās 52 x Bricks and a prize worth just under Ā£600!

The chocolatey covered balls you see on top of this Salted Chocolate Gelato are Choc Covered Honeycomb bits. The combination is truly top tier.
Apologies I didnāt get round to posing a special yesterday, spinning too many plates currently but have given myself a first written warning so hoping it wonāt happen again. This is more of a classic than a special that we have on occasionally but itās a very good classic so worth mentioning - Vanilla & Biscoff. I love the simplicity of it, Good Vanilla Gelato or Ice Cream is hard to come by, ours I think is rather nice and the Biscoff Spread ripples through compliments it. These guys go together well if you fancy trying the duo. Open 1-9 in all 3 shops today.

Today is a momentous day for a couple of reasons. Firstly, Gelatory turns 6! 6 isnāt usually a milestone birthday but for me it feels a pretty big deal. From growing from 5 to 6 a lot has happened. In 12 months weāve opened 2 new shops and had our fair share of challenges & stress as well as excitement & elation. Right now weāve really settled into it and I look back at the last 12 months and the journey weāve been on and am very happy with where we are now.
To celebrate todayās special occasion itās my drink order - a Shirley Temple Soft Serve - Grenadine & Lemonade, On the bevs oyyyy oyyyy. For a number of reasons itās sadly not an iconic Free Gelato day all round but if you visit one of our stores today, some of you may be in for a surprise!
The other momentous event of the day is our first ever Peel Carnival. If somebody had told me this time last year weād have a cute little shop on the beautiful Peel Quay and be serving Gelato at Peel Carnival Iād have laughed at you and said NO WAY. But here we are ready to rock and roll and stocked up (Iām writing this post at 3am shortly after finishing churning all our Gelato for Peel).

M&S are very protective over the sweet pigs they sell so this is called Paul The Pig Sweet Gelato. I canāt tell you where the sweet Pigs were sourced to make this Gelato but I will say I was nearby a supermarket located on Strand Street at approx 1330 yesterday. This one is Tasty!! š·š¬
Annually I make this flavour and try to improve it each time, Iāve made it a bit simple this year after tweaking the recipe several times over the last week - Cinnamon Oat Cookie - Brown Sugar & Cinnamon Gelato, Oat Cookie Crumb & Milk Chocolate Chunks šŖš¤¤

The post about todays special is late, apologies it turned out I needed a few extra hours of sleep after a rather intense week & weekend. Working away in the kitchen now and todays special is a simple one but very tasty if you enjoy Custard - Itās Custard Gelato, nostalgia from a childhood dessert in a Gelato and all I need now is someone to make me a crumble!

The Cadbury yoghurts you get in the supermarket are truly top tier. Buttons or Flakes, amazing - a fave dessert. Anyway itās the inspo for todayās Gelato but I couldnāt decide which one I prefer so Iāve just gone with both. This is Cadbury Button & Flake.
We have a new dessert permanently on the menu - Gelato Nacho Bowl. Waffle Cone chips, two scoops of your choice, a sauce of your choice and a topping of sprinkles!

Our new Tās to match our cup and colour scheme designed also by Hannah who you can follow on the Insta. Sheās getting ready to work every one of 42 days, JK - the part timer is off on her hols on Wednesday so her many admirers have till then to say hello before sheās out the picture for a couple of weeks. Fear not though, sheāll be back and putting in the hours on her return - itāll be like sheās never been on holiday.
All we need now is some decent weather and Summer will be underway! āļøš¦
