Realized Empath
Helping you protect your energy & prioritize your needs so you can feel safe in an insensitive world.
Stop asking people why they are so emotional, and ask yourself why you're afraid to feel.
There isn't really such a thing as being "too sensitive."
Everyone's unique experiences, genetics, and the pain they've endured shape their emotional world. Sensitivity is a strength, a reflection of deep empathy and a rich inner life.
True human connection comes when we are open to seeing life through someone else's experience and perspective. Only then do we truly see the whole and know if we are authentically connected.
How do you embrace your sensitivity? Share your thoughts below and tag someone who needs to hear this! π
With that said, we are still individually responsible for our reactions and healing what holds us apart from peace. Embrace your feelings and honor your journey. πβ¨
Never underestimate the peace that comes from not expecting YOU from other people. πΏβ¨
We find inner calm when we release the need for others to act, feel, or think like we do. Embrace the beauty of our differences and cherish the peace it brings. π
What's an expectation of others you find difficult to let go of? Share in the comments!

Hey, Empaths! Ever wonder why you're always in a rush? πΏβ¨
Highly sensitive people (HSPs) often rush due to:
1. Overstimulation: Too much sensory input makes us hurry to escape the chaos.
2. Perfectionism: Striving for flawless results creates urgency.
3. People-Pleasing: Prioritizing others' needs keeps our schedules packed.
4. Avoidance of Discomfort: Speeding through tasks to dodge anxiety.
5. High Responsiveness: Quick reactions to external stimuli push us to act fast.
It's crucial to recognize these tendencies, slow down, and prioritize self-care. πΈπ§ββοΈ

Do you ever feel powerless when someone else's emotions take over your mood, leaving you resentful and drained?

It's time to break free from this pattern and reclaim your energetic sovereignty.

π If you're an empath, consider this:
Maybe you're not antisocial; perhaps you're vibrationally selective. The more you heal, the more selective you become. π Is it lonely? Sometimes.
Embracing your sensitivity and learning to protect your energy is a powerful experience. Have you noticed changes in your social interactions as you grow?

Do you feel like your sensitivity is on high alert in midlife?
You're not alone. Many of us find that our emotions and reactions intensify as we age, making everyday interactions more challenging.
Think of all the big changes during this time: aging parents, plummeting hormones, empty nests, body change, and don't get me started on aging in a youth-obsessed society.
It's not just youβit's a common shift. But there's good news! You can manage this and feel more at ease.

Here's an unpopular truth..
Contrary to mystical tales, we're not emotional sponges soaking up others' vibes like a cosmic dry-cleaning service.
The notion of absorbing someone's energy is more metaphorical than magical.
Empathy can make us exceptionally attuned to others' feelings, like tuning forks in an emotional orchestra.
However, it's not a one-way energy transfer where their emotions seep into us like water into a sponge.
Think of it like being in a room with a colorful painting. You might feel moved by its beauty, but you're not making it a living masterpiece.
Similarly, empathetic resonance is about connecting emotionally, not merging like cosmic soup.
So, let's embrace our empathy as a bridge to understanding, not as an energy absorption spell. ππ§ββοΈ

Ever feel like the world is just too much? πͺοΈ
You're not alone.
The 'window of tolerance' is a term used to describe the zone of arousal within which we can function most effectively.
More chronic stress narrower window, trauma narrower window, lack of sleep narrower window. See where I'm going with this.
For empaths and HSPs, this window can narrow due to past traumas or overwhelming emotions, making daily interactions feel more intense.
Sometimes, it's too easy to blame others' energy instead of looking at our window of tolerance.
By understanding and expanding your window of tolerance, you can reclaim your calm and navigate the world more peacefully. πΏ
What has happened to you that has impacted your window of tolerance?

Have you ever been told you're 'just overreacting' because of your sensitivity? ππ It's something many of us empaths face, which can strain our relationships.
When people dismiss our feelings, it doesn't just stingβit can chip away at our trust and keep us from sharing who we truly are.
Understanding each other is crucial. Seeing an empath's deep feelings as a strength rather than a weakness can change the game. π
Let's champion our sensitivity and push for conversations that build us up instead of tearing us down.

Have you noticed the movement to self-censor? To police your words to not βoffendβ others?
β β β β β β β β β
Hereβs the real kicker: those advocating for self-censoring believe policing words intends to assist others in βstaying safeβ or βhealing.β
β β β β β β β β β
We donβt heal through policing self-expression.
β β β β β β β β β
We heal through self-expression.
β β β β β β β β β
Self-expression allows us to release and process our emotions, experiences, and inner truths.
β β β β β β β β β
By authentically expressing ourselves through art, writing, or other creative outlets, we tap into our innermost thoughts and feelings, leading to a deeper understanding, acceptance, and healing of ourselves.
β β β β β β β β β
Healing from the impact of trauma requires us to speak about our experience and describe the world through our lens.
β β β β β β β β β
Getting the words perfect is not possible. Healing is the goal.
β β β β β β β β β
When was the last time you felt seen and heard from your unique perspective?
