Statistics and improvement: A new survey
I’m proud to present some additional evidence for my treatment plan and hypothesis! About 150 emails went out a couple of months ago in order to gather some statistics: my question was simple, is the plan effective or not? I assembled and survey with five questions, 1) “I read and could identify with David’s story” 2) “I experienced the symptoms described by David” 3) “I understood and completed the treatment protocol as described” 4) “The treatment protocol helped me get better” 5) “I would recommend others to use the protocol” Only 20 percent of the former customers replayed. All the questions went from 1-7 In a likert scale. Three people answered that they dint got any relief out of the plan and that they would not recommend the plan at all to anyone else. About half of the participants answered that they found relief in the treatment plan and that they would recommend it to others. About one-third of the group found strong relief and became completely fine, these participants strongly recommend the plan to others. As before, the plan seems to work very fine for about a third, fine for almost all, and very bad for a few people. So, there is still no guaranty that the plan is 100% sufficient. More than two-thirds of the group that reported fine or bad results also reported that the plan was hard to follow and asked for complementary instructions and support. I followed up with a discussion and gathered some feedback in order to make the plan easier to follow and complete. The updated plan contains additional instructions, images, and details in order to help everyone complete the plan. If this plan was rated as a product on Amazon, on a five-digit scale, it would place itself in 3,8-4,1. So, obviously, there is additional work to be done. I hope my new updated plan will render better results. I plan to revive it with a new survey in the beginning of 2018. And I also plan a live workshop to help people in Scandinavia.
Here are some comments from the survey:

"It was really a change for my life when I start the treatment. Thanks for the help. A friend from México"

“It was hard to do but I managed to do it for 10 days. It didn't cure me but it did help convince me that my problems were entirely physical and muscle related.”

“Probably one of the best techniques out there but very difficult to do for long periods without some training first.”

Customers quotes

“Wow, it feels much better! No pain or symptoms as before. Some moments I have felt the sensation of a golf ball inside the a**s, but only 1/5 of what it used to be. It has gone so far that I do not even think of the symptoms anymore. I’m so happy for every moment, thank you!” - Pilot study participant

"Thank you so much.
I was very sceptical at first, but at a point of being in pain for over 15 years and trying every other medication and treatment I had to try this. When I read the treatment sheet I was even more sceptical. But I did the exercises as described (not easy) and from day one felt better. I am now day 5 and feeling 95% pain free." - Dan

Striking news

INTRODUCTION/METHOD

Five Swedish males participated in my study and tried my treatment plan for eight days in a row, age reached from 21 – 46 years old. All of the participants completed one pre measure (seven days before they received the treatment plan in order to pick up on any fluctuations), one measure before the treatment began, and one when they completed the program. All of the participants where “self-diagnosed”, which means they could identify with my own story and had similar experiences and symptoms as those listed on the site. In fact, one statement in the survey stated just that: “I can identify with David’s story”. All but one participant answered this statement with a 7 (max score was 7). To measure pain and symptoms I used a survey with questions like “my pain never disappears.” The statements were graded from 1-7 on a scale. Other questions in the survey stated: “my symptoms effect the way I feel”, “I often get pain”, “I have felt pain in the last seven days”, “I can’t stand my pain”. There were 21 statements, age and years of suffering excluded.

RESULTS

The mean score on most of the statements connected to pain and symptoms went down 4-5 points on the 1-7 scale after the treatment plan was completed. For example, “my pain never disappears” went from 6 (before the treatment) to 2 points after the treatment. The survey indicates that after the participants completed the treatment plan they felt fewer symptoms, no, or trivial pain, and their symptoms no longer effected how they felt about themselves or life. The survey also suggests that the participants found a sense of control over their pain, and this in turn led to lower anxiety and less pain and milder symptoms.

DISCUSSION

But I like you to know that this was a small study, only five participants! And the study was made in Sweden at a time when spring transited in to summer. This means higher temperature, and higher temperature often means milder pain and less symptoms for prostatitis. Most people think that the winter period is the worst for prostatitis. So, we can’t be sure of what actually caused these results, even if they are really good. So, to sum up: the study suggests that the treatment plan is working for other people besides me, but the study is too small to draw any conclusions from, and took place in the spring/summer, which indicate confounding variables. For that reason, I will launch a new project; with additional participants this fall. I’m still thirsty for results!

You could say that I have kept myself busy since the last time I wrote something here. Anyway, two things have accrued to me. First of all, I have absolutely no interest in cheating anyone, my project should be completely valid, and build on valid data! Therefore, I just started to conduct a study, in line with the gold standard principles: Double-blind premise; Randomized control trial; Placebo group; Multiple pre measures (in order to pick up on any kind of pre fluctuation). My goal is to gather real empirical support for my hypothesis. As I said: I have no intention to fool anyone, and sell you something that doesn’t work. Since I don’t have any results to report today, I can tell you this: not a single customer has complained since I opened the site in February. Of course, this is not a solid argument for my treatment plan, but it is something to chew on, until I can present some real empirical data. And second, I added a FAQ.
