Oral Submucous Fibrosi (OSF): Its a chronic,progressive condition affecting the oral mucosa,primarily found in individuals who chew betel nut or areca nut.
Treatment:➡️Cessation of areca nut
➡️Topical treatment:Topical application of
steroids,such as corticosteroids to reduce
inflammation and fibrosis
➡️Oral medications:Antioxidants,vitamin
supplements,iron supplements
➡️Phsiotherapy
➡️Surgical intervention in severe cases
P.S.This patient has been consuming ghutka,paan for nearly 20 years.
