Bassett Band Alumni

Hello alumni! It is that time of year again where we are doing our SnapRaise campaign to raise money for our 2023-2024 band year. Last year the band won their 10th class State Championship as well as the overall Champion award called The Commonwealth Cup! The band had another very successful year earning Superior ratings at concert assessment with 2 bands, had a great winter guard season, and also had wonderful performances with the Indoor Musical Theatre production. We are looking to another great year as we travel to New York for National Championships! As you know, a lot of these students have never been (and may never go again) to New York City so we really want to do some great stuff with them when we travel to Nationals. We greatly appreciate any support that you can give to the program. Thank you so much for being a great alumni group! If you are able to help us out, please leave your name and graduating year (possibly instrument/guard) so the kids can see the support from many years.

Today we want to remember one of our faithful truck drivers, Basil Myers. Basil drove our tractor trailer for MANY years and had such a sweet spirit and LOVED the Bassett Band members and parents. Basil passed away last week and we will miss him greatly, but will also remember his dedication and love for the program. ❤️❤️❤️

Seniors! We are so proud of our Class of 2023 for their leadership this past week at camp. They are going to lead us in a mighty way this season. 😍

Band Camp 2022 is in the books! The kids did such a great job this past week as we began to bring "Mixed Emotions" to life. As you can see from the pictures, we had a lot of happy kids on Friday. They LOVE to perform. Now, a week off and then back to work. Thank you all for your support. We hope you have enjoyed our pictures this week. Hopefully it brought back some old memories for you!

"Winter Wonderland" was a hit on Thursday. We had a ton of fun and even Santa made it to band camp.

Day 3 is in the books! Today was Red, White, and Blue day at band camp. We had lots of students show their USA spirit as seen in the pictures. We are doing great things even through the heat. The kids had some fun tonight with karaoke during dinner as well. Let's just say we found out why most of them didn't join the choir. Two more days of camp. Day 2- Hawaiian Day! The kids are making a lot of progress. As always we are planning to have a performance for the parents this Friday at 7:00 pm. Check out the picture from day. 3 days left for our fundraiser and we are over $20,000! Please support the kids if you can. Thank you!

Band Camp week 2! Today is crazy hair day. Eight sets of drill learned this morning with more to come tonight after dinner. The kids are working hard! Check out some of our crazy hair pictures.

We are nearing the end of our fundraiser. As of this post, we are ALMOST at $20,000 with 397 donors. We are shooting CRAZY (like our hair) and hoping for 500 donors. We need 100 new donors in the next 4 days. Anything at this point helps the kids! Stay tuned this week for more pictures and maybe even a couple videos of our progress!
