Work Well CHQ is a network of Chautauqua County based employers and organizations with a common goal of creating a healthier workforce and in turn, a healthier county.
Welcome back Carrie Wieder and Nellie Brown from Center for Occupational and Environmental Medicine at ECMC. Today they educated employers on "Occupational Health & Safety Through the Lens of Gender" at SǑLT Cafe. We also received a tour of the newly established spa with a variety of unique wellness services.

They will be presenting on "Occupational Health & Safety Through the Lens of Gender" at SǑLT Cafe in Jamestown. Yesterday, we heard from Dr. Crabtree-Ide, Director of Cancer Screening and Survivorship Outreach from Roswell Park Cancer Institute. She supports the multi-center network of cancer survivorship and cancer screening initiatives. Cancer survivorship addresses the late and long-term impacts of cancer treatment, quality of life, and supportive care. Local resources and facility are located in Jamestown for patients, providers and caregivers.
Dr. Crabtree-Ide will be doing more outreach within Chautauqua County as this is a new and upcoming program, if you have any questions for her she’s happy to connect.

Thank you to our special guest, Jeff Winton, founder and chairman of Rural Minds for providing valuable information to members in efforts of reducing the stigma surrounding mental illness and improving access to services within the community.
Rural Minds aims to empower people living in rural communities with the information and resources they need to serve the mental health needs of rural Americans. This group was formed and founded in Chautauqua County and connects our rural communities with existing mental health resources including crisis and su***de hotlines. A big shoutout to our members, the Jamestown Board of Public Utilities and The Resource Center for each taking first place in their respective size categories for the WNY Healthiest Employer Awards held on August 24th.
Also, we’d like to congratulate our founder and now co-director, Trenton Lutes, for being awarded the title of Wellness Champion during the same awards ceremony.
