Swimming with Ms. Debra

Swimming lessons I started swimming competitively when I was 12. It didn't start out well so I am compassionate to my swimmers who are in the same boat!

Through hard work and caring coaches I became successful enough to compete in high school and college. When I was 17, I became the assitant coach of my YMCA swimteam. I was in charge of about fifty 8 and under swimmers. I loved it! I have been teaching that age group ( and a few of their moms, grandmoms and babysitters) every summer since. I teach 3 years and up. It thrills me to no end to see a child learn to swim.
