Dr. Hyman is always sharing with us some insightful and useful information. what does a true healthy diet look like?
hello lovely mindful beings 🤗 i hope it has been a Mindful March for you ✨ i have finished developing my 6-Month Health Coaching Program! i’m just currently working on a launch date, so stay posted 😆 as per this photo, i had to share with you this delicious banana 🍌 bread i made. i followed ’s Whole-Grain Banana Bread recipe on their website adding my own twist.
INGREDIENTS I USED:
✨ for the batter: bananas, olive oil (substitute for vegetable oil because it has healthier fats), brown sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, King Arthur’s Measure for Measure Gluten Free Flour (substitute for both the Unbleached All-Purpose and White Whole Wheat Flour), baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon
✨ for the toppings: i decided to add whole bananas on top for the aesthetics but also, it just makes it hella tasty! @ New York, New York
i hope you have been incorporating mindfulness throughout your days. even it’s small steps, such as choosing to eat whole wheat toast 🌾 one morning or drinking a cup of water 💦 when you wake up. every step is an accomplishment. so keep going! 👏 one of the things my health coaching program will be focused is on taking these small steps to help your body build a lasting habit in any area of your life. looking forward to finalizing and launching it! 🤗
if you follow my personal account you probably already saw my story on giving this recipe a try. this is ’s Cashew and Avocado Pesto Pasta 😋 make sure to check out her video on YouTube taking you through the recipe 🍽 for those who are curious, the ingredients are below 💛
INGREDIENTS I USED: 🌾 pasta (i used whole wheat because it’s high in fiber, which means sugars are slowly digested creating a longer use of energy⚡️); 🥜cashews (raw for the pesto sauce and toasted to be sprinkled); 🥑 ripe avocado (protein source to help nourish them muscles!); 🍋 lemon; 🌿basil; 💦 water, olive oil, garlic; 🧂 salt and pepper @ New York, New York
i shared this on my personal Instagram account a couple of weeks ago, i thought one of you may need to read it now:
may not be exactly how my body physically looks currently, but it definitely represents my mood. for so long i always wanted to be “skinny”, i always thought the most preferred type of woman had to be blonde long hair with a skinny flat stomach. my fitness goal was always focused on reaching the “flat stomach” and i didn’t appreciate my hair. it’s been a journey learning to understand that my body is damn beautiful the way it is (hella thick, not so curvy, and difficult hard to burn calories) and my curly hair is also a blessing 👩🏽🦱. that even when it’s straight is as beautiful as it can be 💁🏽♀️. that being fit, for me, is about challenging the mind and exploring what my body is capable of (not focusing on the weight nor the size). and above all, understanding that all of the physical traits are just the cherry 🍒 on top to who i am because a self-conscious and self-aware soul is the MOST beauty there is to you. achieving such level allows you to give without expecting and that s**t is absolutely fu***ng beautiful.
kind greetings to you all loves 💛 i am passing by to remind you to continue pushing through. if you've fallen off your daily rituals, get back on it step by step. if you don't have daily rituals, but do want to begin forming new habits, get on it step by step. empower your mind!
for those who wonder the behind the scenes of creating a great mind. here’s part of it. each month i check in and analyze where i am and where i want to go. what have i been focusing on? do i want to focus on other things? what can i do to get a step closer to living my most aligned self? what are my intentions? — making sure i have a visual of what i want my best self to be truly helps me get through every day. i am always reminded to take action. as a result, i’ve become consistent in meditating, morning journaling, mindfully eating, and editing videos. 🤗 i hope you consider giving this a try! ✨

happy mindful eating! ✨ here’s a photo of how my breakfast has been looking like lately. banana 🍌 for some potassium intake, good for the metabolism and overall helps maintain our important organs stable. i love adding granola for the crunchy feel to it as well for its nutritious fiber, good to maintain energy⚡️. i wasn’t a big fan of greek yogurt but it’s honestly my favorite kind. it’s known to be high in protein and B-12, taking care of our muscles and brain cells. and to top it off some chia seeds, also good for our brain 🧠 cells. 💛
the full writing series has been published on the website. go read on how much power you can have over your thoughts when people are projecting their insecurities on to you. 💛

"when you are a threat, you become a target" - many of you understand that the United States' food industry is truly dangerous and even scary. and because of this it may be that some of you are scared to read how dangerous it actually is. Food Babe has been an activist for years, fighting top notch companies to provide us with healthier ingredients. her recent blog talks about how incredibly frightened the food industry is by her and the why. it is so critical that you understand what you are putting on your plate. if you fail at this, you are failing at truly living mindful life.

How The Food Industry Tries to Silence Us (My Appearance on CNN...) I got a request to be on CNN last Sunday night asking me to discuss the romaine lettuce E. coli outbreak. But here’s the crazy thing… My appearance on national TV really pi**ed off some people. And no – not because it was on CNN. (My stance on national media has always been to take … Read Mo...
sending a message of love to you reading this. know that life is all about obstacles, if it weren't for the difficult times we would stay the same. gotta change things up a bit from time to time. 💛

the past week has been so emotionally interesting for me. i wasn’t living my best self. i was too focused on how someone else felt about me. i forgot about my own mind. but i had this awakening moment where i made the sole decision to just be done. to be done with giving my attention to things that are not making me any better. and i left like this huge burden has been lifted off my shoulders. i felt a sense of freedom. i started writing and writing and writing. all in one morning i wrote about five parts to my next writing series. all regarding my psychological trauma. it felt so good! i plan on sharing it with the world, soon. 💛
how would you explain the soul? it was hard writing this post, but i tried my best to make it easy to understand my point of view. go ahead and take a read. 💛

i hope you’ve been enjoying your day ✨ i’m working on setting up a work schedule for ELSI, MindfullyBeing, and my health coaching business. i want to make sure i become disciplined in creating while at the same time taking care of myself. so, for this week i’ll continue updating you on what’s up on the MB page. i figured if i’ll be talking about the mind, body, and soul, i should first begin by explaining what i mean by each of those. in other words, how i define them. check out the link to learn about what i refer to when i speak about the body 💛 —

ahh!! thrilled and so nervous for what’s to come. Mindfully Being (MB) is a new addition to ELSI . if you want to understand a bit more about how MB came to be, make sure you read the previous post where i explain it all. — i am excited to bring you into this beautiful journey with me. i excited to tell you all about what i’ve learned the past year during my IIN Health Coach training program and share how i’ve incorporated some of it into my daily life. i am excited to give you the opportunity to work with me to help you create the life you’ve always wanted for yourself. on November 15th i will be re-launching ELSI’s website where i’ll have an entire section dedication to MB. on it i’ll share anything health coaching and/or related to health and welness. i’ll cover topics from “external” nutrition to “internal” nutrition with the focus on sharing with you ways to live a mindful life. i will also be active on MB’s page where i’ll interact with you at a more personal level. it is all slowly coming together, slowly but surely. 💛 yaaay! 😆 — —
the official Mindfully Being (MB) by ELSI logo 🍃 this is special and even more special because i get to share it with you! i dedicated so much time and thought into every detail for this logo. i wanted it to represent what MB means to me. i came up with the logo idea while i was visiting Madrid, Spain this summer. i was reflecting on what i wanted to communicate to you through MB. — first, i guess i should tell you about why i created MB. while completing my integrative health coach certification, i wanted to have a space dedicated to sharing my journey with holistic health; everything mind-body-soul related. before i came up with the name, it was first called ‘Health by ELSI’, but i wasn’t feeling it. as months passed, i finally decided on a name i felt confident with. i understood that MB would not only represent my journey but that it will also represent yours because after all, sharing is a source in igniting change. — so what does this logo represent? it symbolizes wholesomeness, nature, optimism, and mental clarity. i purposely used a circle because i truly believe that starting somewhere/anywhere is the first step into living in alignment, living whole full. however, when you feel that you’ve come around and feel whole, your journey is never ending — it goes on and on and on just like a circle. 🌾 the whole wheat inside the circle is there to remind us that to live in alignment, to live whole fully, to live mindfully does indeed start from within. so, cheers to continuing the journey & choosing to mindfully be. 💫💛 @ New York, New York
