Goose spotlight and sharing some information Ive learned so far …This is Vern 🪿🩵 He’s my original Sebastopol. He is from pure white genetics. Vern had a girlfriend who suffered a horrific death in the past. I initially was unaware geese are prey to raccoons 🦝. Vern’s girlfriend was decapiated by a raccoon. Tragic and eye opening. From there we made a very secure coop with a small run which the geese now are locked in at night. Vern was bonded to his girl. We than got him new friends, which now he is the third wheel to Dottie and Howie. Howie and he are best buds. He has had no s*xual attraction to Dottie. Vern at one point ended up getting bumble foot 🦶. I learned geese can easily get this and need soft and flat terrain. Grass not mulch to walk on. Vern had surgery on his bumble foot. He is doing very well a year plus out with an occasional limp here and there

Surprise Surprise. Dottie pulled one over on us. Being new Sebastopol owners, we were told they only lay and hatch one nest a year… Well obviously that’s not always true. Our Sebastopol gosling season has quickly concluded. Your interest is appreciated! 🥰🐣 The low hatch/fertility rate and brief laying window make these geese a threatened species. Dottie's eggs demonstrated this, with only half hatching, 6/12. But we're grateful for the six healthy goslings that did hatch. We plan for the future as we grow our ever loving farm to take reservations for our future goslings! In the mean time Dottie and her friends are officially on vacation until next year! 🪿🪿🪿

We are pending our new home for Thursday 🥰

Our last two Sebastopol goslings are available. They will be the last for the rest of the year. We set them on our Easter decor, makes for the perfect picture 😍

🪿Due to the perishable nature of alive animals, all sales are final once you/transporter/person on behalf of the buyer leave the pick up location of the animal.

🐣our four incubated gosling hatched yesterday. Waiting for the four in the nest to see if they hatch. Estimated this week. These little cuties will be looking for a loving home here shortly.

Today is day 27 of 32, of the 🪿 egg incubation
We have seen movement today from all eggs minus the one. We will start the lock down phase of incubation which means no manual turning, cooling or misting. And we will turn the humidity up to help with 🐣 hatching. Fingers crossed these little guys can make it out over the next couple days.
