This piece of armor designed to protect the horse's face is called a chamfron. Historically they were made first from boiled leather, then later from metal plates. The ones we make are made of aluminum scale maille making them lightweight and cool, even in warm weather. We also like to put spikes on the front, so beware if you are thinking of giving them a cuddle!

What happens when a chain maille artist is also a horse girl? Shiny armored horses! Bringing my two worlds together has been a dream of mine for a while now. I grew up around the western world and have transitioned more to the English side as an adult, so I have accessories for both with a whole world of fantasy thrown in.

We have handwoven browbands, crystal conchos, bridle/braid charms, fantasy browbands and equine face jewelry all the way up to full armor. Plus we have matching stock pins and jewelry for the riders. Whether you’re looking for something custom to match your current tack or looking for something completely new, we can help. We do individual pieces and whole matchy-matchy sets.
