In January 2024, by issuing 35 death sentences, the Islamic Republic recorded the highest number of death sentences issued in more than a year.

A total of 86 people have been executed in this one month period.

The Islamic Republic uses the death penalty as a tool to suppress the opposition and in this way continues to violate human rights.

Of course, the policy of creating fear and terror in the society has failed and the civil society has consciously taken the path of litigation and will not allow the Islamic Republic to commit any crime.
