Great night last night representing myself as author and Winter & Drew Publishing, at the Word Kitchen Open Mic event at the Exeter Phoenix.
I read a scene from one of my works in progress, featuring some Tudor action adventure.

Friday 5th April saw a successful launch event for the new novel by Winter & Drew author Valerie Lawson.
The Ship Sailed On is a colourful thriller set on a 1960s cruise ship, with boozy parties, diamond smuggling – and murder.
Around 30 people attended at the Port Royal pub on Exeter Quay to hear a passage from the book being read, and the author being interviewed by Jonathan Posner of Winter & Drew Publishing.
Valerie Lawson then signed lots of copies for buyers, many of whom then stayed on afterwards for a pleasant drink and chat.
