與民為敵 歐得杯腰K Since their formation in 2011, OWK’s has always been the
wild ones.
OWK’s pumping heart is driven by their attitude as much as
their blood, you can call them punk-rockers that’s for sure,
but the complexity of their song structures gives pleasure to
the ears way more than some 2 chords no-brainer. Aggressively
progressive, every OWK’s track is a joyride filled with
psychedelic gems, but they managed to stay straight through
the trip. While sounding immersive on re
cords, their live
performances is what makes them so unique, occasionally
features saxophone and vintage synth, blasting out stages
like no one else. After a 2 years hiatus since 2013, OWK made a strong
comeback in 2015, their debut first single “Hahahahe”, earned them a mini Beijing tour, play among punk legends like
燒酒軍團, Mr.Dirty, 大海怪 and more; They then played supporting set for SUBS and Elenore before closing the year
with an epic set at Hong Kong’s biggest festival Clockenflap, whom described them as “A visceral attack of unhinged,
raw emotion……firmly placed on the local scene as hotly tipped ones to watch.”
2016 sees OWK released their highly anticipated self-titled debut album, the release party was a riot to enjoy with
supporting set by HK cult heroes AN ID SIGNAL (意色樓), soon after the four-pieces got invited by fashion brand
MUSIUM to share stage with HK’s alt-rock giant Chokchumo. Since 2011, OWK has played over 30 shows , sharing bills
with bands such as Elenore, SUBS, 大海怪, AN ID Signal
(意色樓), Downer, The Yours and more. Also joined the line
up for multiple festivals, notably Clockenflap 2015, Grasscamp
and Open Sesame (芝麻開壇)。
